First time here after a few friends highly recommended it. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday - cash/check only. What a perfect place to have lunch when it was snowing, windy and 30 degrees outside and as you can see, inside is warm and inviting. Order first at the counter and your amazing meal will arrive in about 15 minutes. There’s usually about 8 entrees on the menu and it took me some time to choose. I chose the country hash on a ciabatta with pickled cabbage and a sunny side up egg on the top. There were a few more ingredients that complemented the dish, but for the life of me, I’m unable to remember them all. Tons of homemade desserts along with espresso and coffee combo drinks to go or to stay. I’d stay and sit at a corner table and people watch. When the sun and warmth return to the valley, the entire store opens up with a huge garage door and there’s a south-facing patio to lounge in the sun. I heard the wait can be substantial in the summer, so plan ahead. Parking may be an issue, but if you don’t mind walking a few country blocks, you’ll be fine. Check out this gem in the very small town in Edison. You’ll be...
Read moreWe want to ordered Porchetta sandwich, but they sold out. We ordered fried chicken dish. It came with two legs, it was okay. It was not as crispy and more seasoned would have been better. There is hot sauce you can added if you don’t like Ranch. For the price, may be quarter chicken with thigh and leg might be better. If you don’t want to use breast. Potato salad was good but it is a side dish. Peach coffee cake was more like pudding cake, not coffee cake that I expected, they could have added more peaches . The peanut butter tahini was good and I don’t even like peanut butter. My friends ordered soba noodle, I had a bit. It was better than fried chicken order. It comes with steak tofu. Another order was Caesar salad which I didn’t tried but it was huge portion. Your ordered at the counter, they bring food to your house table. There is station for us to put away dishes. Also there is a water station. The restaurant decor is comfortable. There are seatings inside and outside. Cash...
Read moreClash of The Titans! Aka: sweet and savory, you do not have to choose one or the other. I had the French toast offered on a Sunday, the strawberries were unquestionably fresh, the toast was out of the oven, earthy and delicious. As I dug deeper in to the edges and reached the cream and Crushed pistachios, I had to slow down, the flavors were actually intellectual and absolutely on point. The portions are incredibly generous, the service is more than great. Maisie stopped by to say hello, pick up plates and greet my two Aussies, she was genuine and added to the great vibe of Tweets. Anyone that stopped by the table was extremely pleasant. You will wait in line, absolutely worth the experience to eat at my now favorite place in the Skagit County area. This hidden gem is very worthy of your patronage. Indoor and outdoor seating available, dog friendly outside with a choice of sitting on the deck or the lush landscape around their property. I can’t...
