I am a bit of a snob regarding chicken wings. I've enjoyed the wings at Anchor Bar and at Duff's -- both in Buffalo. Both claim to have invented chicken wings, and both have passionate devotees. In a previous life, I've many times devoured the excellent wings at Wings, Suds, and Spuds, near Pittsburgh.
While West Coast restaurants produce wonderful food, most fall short with wings. Even worse, many advertise "Buffalo Wings". Read moreThe exterior is quaint and the interior looks like any other small town bar, but the people really make this place exceptional. The cooks and the servers go out of there way to make your visit memorable. Attentive service and cheerful smiles abound. Don't be scared off if there is a handful of motorcycles out front. Being located just off the scenic Chuckanut Drive, joyriders are drawn to this place just like everyone else. And if it's packed inside there is covered outdoor dining out back. Step out and enjoy looking across the Samish Basin to the tops of the San...
