TGK Restaurant — Restaurant in Burlington

Me and my family decided to eat at this establishment yesterday on 2/29/2019 and upon arriving I noticed the building had that hole in the wall health code violation look to it but they had good reviews so we figured we would give it a shot the service we received was very very bad we got our drinks from an extremely rude waitress and we waited for our food while waiting we noticed there were a good number of flys and other various flying insects all over this turned us off when we recieved the food our meats were very underdone and colorless had a shade of white for the so called hamburgers and very cold soggy frys I calmly politely tiold them I. Would not be eating the food because of the poor service bad food and insects that were landing on my food the waitress then went and for their manager who told me that you order you pay doesn't matter how unsanitary the facility is even though poor service and poor food on top of health code violation is considered breach of contract they threatened to call the police and have me arrested and literally screamed at me in front of customers they were bothered by us complaining about the conditions I ended up paying for the food but will never...

This is the Jewel of Burlington, and despite Zack's is the rave , there is no comparison , when it comes to bang for your buck. The Tea is awesome, and they have the best selection, of any restaurant. Don't let the building fool yah. Have had Hot Dogs all over the East Coast, and as an X Trucker, I can assure you................You want go wrong with TGK. If they could accommodate, to Trucker's...............they would have to build a Huge Parking Lot. So when your going down Webb ..........just across from Alamance Oil, Gas and Propane.............pull...

I feel the need to comment on Amy Haley's post from 2/29/19. Everyone has their right to an opinion but I just cant believe the things she's griping about. I have been eating at TGK for years and the owner and wait staff are the friendliest and overall best humans you will ever meet. The food is delicious and I've never seen flies in this building. Come on people flies in NC in February!! Quite rare. Don't know what's bugging this girl but dont let her review stop you from eating at one of the tastiest restaurants...
