Grill Worx — Restaurant in Burlington

Country cooking anyone? The location is outta the way unless you are in the area for a meal. Aesthetics not so hot, and it want win any beauty contest. Parking is sparse at major meal times. Staff few in numbers but friendly and helpful. My favorite meal is the BBQ and fries. I'm not much of a meal or breakfast person. I love pancakes and some swear by these, but can't say I do. Pancakes for me is Cracker Barrel or IHOP/B. Taste and texture here is cake like, sweet, and once syrup hits them all to pieces. Then again just me. Whatever you get on the menu I think you will be pleased. Usually working folks, retiree's and Elon students make up the audience. I happen to be in the first category. Sometimes you just need to just slow down and enjoy the pace, and don't rush things like swallowing your food and letting it digest. Give it a try there's something here...

We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop here for lunch. Isabella welcomed us in with a smile! Netta, our server, was amazing! She is very friendly and helpful! I ordered the Grill Worx wrap with chicken (sauce on the side) with fries and my daughter ordered 2 pancakes with strawberries. When we got our order, mine looked delicious but my daughter's were not what we expected with the strawberries. We assumed the strawberries would be fresh but they weren't. The strawberries were in a very red syrupy, thick sauce all over the pancakes. We got Netta's attention and explained what happened. She understood and had the cook remake the pancakes. Grill Worx used to be awesome but two times in a row they screwed us over. Last time they said we could substitute one piece of French Toast on the $7.99 special only to end up changing around $16! Turns out they just added it as an additional charge of $4 and something for a single piece of French Toast! And on top of that they didn't give us the thing they were supposed to be substituting for. Today we went and ordered off the regular menu figuring we would not get screwed again. The $11.99 breakfast mysteriously cost almost $15! I asked why and they said there was an extra charge for the bacon that the server told us would be included. Ticked off and...
