Villa Rosa Restaurant & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Burlington

You know I hate to do this... and I've already removed my perfect review for Villa Rosa. Well it all comes down to the RUDE manager that I've NOT had the pleasure to speak with on the phone on 2 separate calls. 1 to ask a question that the girl who answered the phone and works there didn't know if there were onions on their cheesesteaks?? The picture shows onions online and I was ordering for a toddler and did not want onions, she puts manager on the phone And the tone alone I felt like oh my God I'm seriously bothering this guy and all I'm trying to do is ask a question??!! He was very short and said No there's no onions... And I was trying to be friendly to explain to him he cut me off mid-sentence and said is that it!!? Thank you goodbye! 😲 I actually ordered from another restaurant that night because it just really bothered me of how rude he was. I have spent a lot of money with this restaurant once I finally discovered them because I fell in love with one of their items on the menu yet I never called to complain about the god-awful Calamari Villa Rosa that was so chewy it was inedible and I had to throw it away! That was a $14 order or their Portobella Daily Special that had way too much lemon in sauce it was gross plus lemon seeds that I almost ate several times until I had to drain this so called white wine butter lemon sauce off... Well it should have just said lemon sauce cuz that's exactly how it tasted It overpowered the whole portobello mushroom and the spinach. But NO did not complain about that either! Another $13 down the drain, and didn't call due to the fact that I remembered how rude the manager was to me when I asked a question. But now there's a third strike because I did call to complain about the mess of a large pizza that I earned for free through slice. Well here you go again I get the manager. He swore up and down he cut and boxed the pizza and it was perfectly fine so I guess it was my fault that it was undercooked because I asked and paid for extra cheese and mushrooms on it so what did I expect???!! Okay so now pizza is not free because I paid for two extra toppings which were very expensive may I add, but REALLY??!!! You're going to blame me??!! Not an I'm sorry? Can we remake another one for you right away and pick that one up?? Well this picture that I am posting should hopefully say it all. If you look in the top upper right corner of the box you'll see the outline of wetness where it was full of cheese and toppings, I actually should have taken the picture at that time when I opened the box, but NO I can probably just push it back, even though some of the slices were bare. Then l couldn't even pull apart the slices without either pulling all the cheese/toppings off the other slices or mutilating them so bad no one's going to eat this pizza......BUT the most disgusting part which happened to me 2x was the paper literally stuck to the bottom of this undercooked pizza and I guess stuck in a glob of cheese...yeah so apparently it was my fault and what did I expect when I asked for extra cheese and mushrooms??? So final straw Pizza went in the trash! So much for a free pizza?! Oh that's right...I got the insincere... sorry you're unsatisfied with your order but there was nothing wrong with that pizza! I frequent this establishment periodically, and usually, I leave statified.

It's food and service is mid at best, but it's convenient when there's no other option.

However, last night I decided to sever all ties with this place.

After spending $80 on food, I paid our check (left a $20, tip), we sat and continue conversing.

At this point, one of the immigrant service workers came to our table and apologized, but said, "I have to ask you to leave"!

I was a little irate because just days earlier I was in the place and this same thing was done to me.

Based on that, I questioned him and protested because I didn't like being asked to leave after my loyal patronization of the restaurant.

He again apologized and said "we want to go home".

I still was in protest mode as I got up to leave, as he requested.

Then, I looked over my shoulder and was a Caucasian couple sitting in the back of the restaurant still enjoying their meal.

They were laughing and conversing and having a good time.

This prompted me to ask him, "why do we have to leave, but they're being allowed to stay and eat their meals.

He couldn't answer my question and said nothing.

America like to always blame the victim and say blacks see everything as racist, but how would you see this if it happened to you.

Racist or not, I will never patronize this restaurant again.

You don't throw people out who support you regularly!

As I got in my car and was leaving the parking lot.

That couple was still sitting there enjoying their meal!

They laughed at us as we were...

My first time visiting this establishment, looked pretty authentic and real the people inside seem very friendly and hard working folks.. I'm gonna be visiting few more times in the next week to give them out a full judgement.... I got the uhh vodka rigatoni and omg 100% would recommend it on it's own without protein it soooo good came with salad salad was ok.. also got the uhh chicken parm over spaghetti idk I'm not too sure how to feel about that dish honestly.. chicken was alright maybe a little too cooked was kind of ok and also was kind of rough jury is still out on that... the uhh spaghetti was below average I think and same with their marinara sauce.. for some reason all 3 chicken parm, marinara and spaghetti just didn't seem like it was working well at all together perhaps with different pasta idk 🤷‍♂️ or maybe a different time better results they did seem pretty busy both inside and to go orders.. but my food was there ready had to with a little no biggy.. I just wish their chicken parm lived up to the hype and their reviews.. because I'll tell you what that vodka rigatoni sure lived up to everything and beyond! It was amazing and freaking delicious... we'll see in the next few visits for a full and honest 100%...
