Sun Island Bar-BQ & Jerk Supreme — Restaurant in Burlington

I really hate to write this review but... I'll never go back here again. I googled their name and sent into "THEIR WEBSITE" I was looking at the menu and clicked the order online button, I ordered oxtail tacos and a chicken (bone in) roti, 15 mintues later the restaurant called and we don't have tacos and only boneless chicken for the roti but I would have to cancel the order with "Toast" their online ordering server and reorder what I wanted. I called Toast but they couldn't cancel the order to refund me, only the resturant can confirm and cancel the order which makes sense. I called the resturant again was told to call the owner tomorrow. I could have called my cc company but anything under 50.00 they just give me my money back without disputing it but I didn't think it was fair for the restaurant or toast to keep my money so I wanted the order canceled. Called the next day and they had tacos and meat so instead of going back and forth i asked if they could make the order i paid for yesterday. They said yes so I went in and a man was sitting at the bar, I asked if he was the owner he said no but another man walked in and i asked if he was the owner he said no he is! Wow, So I dont have time for games so I took my food and left.

The oxtail tacos were all fat and the tacos were just meh and the roti wasn't even assembled. The roti tasted ok, no potatoes in it which is what we're used too. The picture of the oxtail was ALL fat. ...

FOOD POISONING!!!! Me and my peoples were coming back from an event, it was getting late and we were all hungry so we drove around looking for places to eat at we came across this restaurant and let me tell you, I have been to this restaurant two times before the first time the food was OKish The second time the food was horrible and there is always this one lady looks like she’s around her mid 30s. She always has an attitude as if you’re bothering her to the point she rolls her eyes and I’m not the only one who sees it!!!! I warned them to not go to this restaurant, but since we were all there, I decided to order some food as well. So we all get home we’re all hungry, we’re eating the food we go to sleep the next day we all (4 people) wake up with diarrhea and severe vomiting. Now I’m a breast-feeding, mom and this really affected me because my milk supply had already dropped a little recently but I was able to picked it back up, but because of this food poisoning, it had got worse because I was unable to hydrate, unable to eat, unable to have the energy to get up and do the things that I needed to do to keep my supply up and I literally had to spend $300 to get a case of formula because that was the fastest option Amazon had while I was searching 2am in the morning!!! IF YOU WANT GOOD JAMAICAN FOOD YOU BETTER GO TO DELICIOUS DISHES NOT ONLY IS THEIR FOOD PERFECT THEY’RE...

The food here is great but super disappointed with my order today. I normally order the fried chicken and normally receive a fair portion that always seemed really fresh. The first time I went the girl told me told me it's made to order which I love. Today I ordered and the guy behind the counter was on the phone and didn't seem like he knew what was going on he pulled 2 pieces out of some pan that was off to the side and proceeded to cut them in half giving me only about 1 and half pieces note everytime in the past I received at least 4 whole pieces. I'm not a confrontational person and try not complain but you could tell that it was already not sitting comfortable with me. After getting back to my job because I was only on a half hour lunch I tried to call and explain my disappointment and the gentleman started to fight me on it and claim that he was the owner and that's how it always is and how everytime before was wrong was cutting me off when trying to just give a honest opinion and explain how this is the first time that they presented it that way. I quickly saw that I was not going to be heard. This is super disappointing because there food is very good but I think this will be my last...
