After ordering from Hungry Howie’s on Center near-weekly since the pandemic ended, we're officially breaking up. On a Friday night in early fall 2024, I placed an order through their app, spending $20 (plus a tip, of course) for a single two-topping pizza. When I arrived to pick it up, the lobby was packed shoulder-to-shoulder with people waiting—some saying they’d been there over 90 minutes. Apparently, it was Grand Blanc High School’s homecoming game night—Surprise! I waited an additional 20–30 minutes, but my order never came up. Frustrated, I left and had to order dinner elsewhere, adding nearly two hours to our evening plans. Disappointing, but we decided to give them one more chance. The next evening, I called to explain the situation. The person on the phone (presumably a manager) apologized and promised me a fresh pizza, free of charge, in 20 minutes. I went back, only to find the same packed lobby. After waiting another 20 minutes, our order once again failed to appear. Hungry Howie’s took our $20, wasted my time, and no one showed the slightest curiosity or accountability as to why there was extra inventory at the end of the night with my name on it. Twice. So, keep that twenty—we’ll consider it a life lesson. In fact, use it for some Sharpies and poster board when you put up a “For Lease” sign on the front glass. Eventually, you’ll burn through customers who value the transactional experience as much as the food. With so many pizza options around Flint, it’s time we break up with "Money Hungry" Howie.

I ordered from here because the Fenton rd location is trash. Well, this one is too. The sub was slapped in the box upside-down and wrapped in a way that destroyed it when I tried to open it. The lettuce and tomato "on the side" was not even enough for half the sub and was thrown in the box and got hot and gross, so what's the point? The bread was dry and had the consistency of an old gym mat. They forgot to butter it. Called to complain and was put on hold twice by a kid who couldn't be bothered to speak clearly. Not worth the $30 I spent. That's the last time I visit a hungry howie. Stay away from this place.

Has to be the best Hungry Howie's location I've ever been to, and I'm almost 50. They should (corporate), if they aren't already, send franchise owners and managers to the Burton location to see how it's done. Masked up, gloved up, polite, no wait, foods hot and crafted to perfection. No I'm not an employee, no I'm not friends with an employee. I'm just a plumber that's working in the area right now and have had lunch here about 10 times in the past two weeks.

I usually do not like posting a bad review but today was the last straw a few weeks ago I ordered 2 subs went to pick up my order received a wrong order had to go all the way back get the correct order or so I thought. It was still wrong and I could not leave work again. Last week on 12/3 I placed an order for pick up at 6:35 due to my daughter’s birthday party. Well my order wasn’t ready until almost 8 not to mention a DoorDash driver was also waiting for over an hour and stated her order was over an hour late already. What’s the point of putting a future time if it’s gonna be almost two hours after the time requested. And then tonight I have been waiting for over an hour for 2 pizzas and some wings. I notice for some reason my wing flavor was incorrect after the order was placed. And couldn’t get anyone on the phone (no shocker there) so I head to the store go in and inform the lady (red hair) and she’s like idk what to tell you. Then proceeds to say I haven’t even put them in yet so yes I can change them. Awesome 😎 this lady is rude every time I have gone in this store. No one wears gloves while making food touching their face to wiping their hands on their shirts (you can see when you are at the register paying). I’ve always been kind and tipped well but tonight and the nasty tone of customer service...

I wish I could give zero stars. I had multiple pieces on my pizza that didn't have banana peppers on them at all, and the extra asiago cheese crust flavor was non existent (meaning there were also multiple pieces that didn't have any on it at all and only some had minimal cheese). The ham and sausage pizza had 1 piece of sausage on each slice and the pizza sauce on both tasted off and different than it usually does. I don't know if they ran out of sauce and used a different kind or if it was close to being outdated but it didn't taste like hungry howies sauce and wasn't acceptable. Also, on the hungry howies tracker it didn't show it was ready for pick up until we were physically in store picking it up. The lady working the counter handed us our stuff with all 5 of our sauces sliding around (no bag or held down with stickers like they used to do) and when we asked for a bag we were ignored and she continued to help the next lady and cash her out. We thought maybe she didn't hear us so we asked again and she said to give her a minute, so another employee got up and gave us a bag. We always order from the Fenton Rd and it's perfect every time but happened to be closer to this location. We will never return to this location and after reading some other reviews we're not the only ones. This location is...
