The BackAlley — Restaurant in Butler Township

I initially fell in love with this venue for my wedding reception, but unfortunately, I decided not to move forward with booking it. I am not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.

The biggest issue was the lack of communication. Emails often went unanswered for weeks, and I constantly had to follow up just to get basic questions addressed. At times, it felt like I was being ghosted. During the venue tour, they assured me they were very accommodating, but when I asked for clarification or specifics later, they either couldn’t provide answers or simply didn’t respond.

Another major red flag was their request for a deposit before providing a contract. This raised serious concerns for me, as it left the door open for potential price increases or unexpected additional costs.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and clear, reliable communication is critical when choosing a venue. Unfortunately, that was not my experience...

We are definitely happy we choose this venue for our special day! We loved the atmosphere and the vibe. It definitely fit our style. We received many compliments from our guests. They loved the venue, duck pin lanes, food, and outside fire pits. Our bartenders did an awesome job! The food was excellent! Hanna took us through the whole process smoothly. If you are thinking about it as a venue, just do it! We are so happy with how the retirement party went, and the BackAlley venue itself and service is what made it great. All our guests enjoyed the venue (it's fun, it's beautiful, it's unique), the service and the food. The cost is so reasonable, and their event specialist helped me with advice, answers to my questions, and supported everything we wanted to make possible for the party.
