We stopped in at this place for breakfast on 7/19/21. The prices are reasonable and the menu had something for everyone. I loved the decor and the hometown diner feel. Once we put our order in, we heard another gentleman complain to the waitress that he had been waiting an hour for his food. The waitress kindly told him "there is only one cook making all the food for everyone.". We ended up waiting 40 minutes for the food to arrive which was hard when you have two hungry and bored kids. Being short staffed is never fun and I understand that isn't the fault of the owner. My suggestion would be to put a sign at the entrance letting people know of the long wait times before entering. Perhaps offer the customers the chance to order and come back in an hour since there are lots of neat shopping outlets nearby to keep them occupied while they wait. The food was excellent! We'd love to stop in again some day and hopefully the short staff crisis...

The food was really good. The service was not good at all. We ordered two breakfasts with coffee and water, plus we gambled on the machines. Our wattress was less than attentive, our table was filthy. Had to have it wiped down again after we sat. We ordered steak and eggs, chicken fried steak, 2 coffees and 2 waters. We got 2 coffees and 1 water to share, bill was dropped off with our meal seemingly excusing our waitress from serving us. Never asked for refills for coffee, and had our obviously shared water refilled once. Once again I say, the food was great! We would of been there longer, gambled more, spent more money but the service was horrible. We are 20-30% tippers, both if us having worked in the service industry in the past, but had no problem leaving less than 10% this time around. Alright. This is a place that serves “food”. That is all. When I say “Food” I mean substance that shouldn’t be edible but they give it to you anyway. I got a chicken fried steak, mashed taters. Taters were good. I couldn’t get through half a chicken fried steak before realizing two truths. Number one, this food is mediocre. At best. Bland, nothing special, no exploding flavors. Just feels like poor effort in your mouth. Not worth 9 dollars. Number two, my entire body felt terrible, with nausea insinuating in my stomach. I’ve worked in the food biz before, and this tasted like food that was just sitting there for too long. I want to like this place: but there isn’t a single ounce of effort front to back.
