Me and a friend have come here a few times and tried out most of their menu. I want to share our experiences. First of. These guys know how to make chicken. The KFC is spicy but so delicious you want to trudge though the pain. Right of the kitchen. Their orange chicken was the crispiest chicken I've ever had. Not as sweet as typical Chinese orange chicken, but Delicious in it's own right. Their teriyaki chicken and lo mein chicken are good but nothing to write home about. These guys know how to make decent chicken.
Me and my friend weren't huge on their baos. But we loved their Xiao and dumplings. If we come back in the future. It'll be because of their specials, their dumplings, Xiao and KFC. Their dumplings are big and meaty. Their Xiao too and I loved the sweet sauce they came with. They're gyuza isn't anything to write home about though.
Sides wise. We got our first taste of kimchi here and, we're not impressed. Maybe it's amazing but we just didn't vibe with the flavor. Not when it came with fries or noodles. Their fried rice is alright. I wouldn't make a trip for it. Their lo mein is interesting. Its light compared to Chinese lo mein. Doesn't have as many veggies and it's surprisingly sweet. The noodles are light to. They have a subtle sweet flavor and I was a fan. They're good but they might not be everyone's cup of tea. We didn't try their egg rolls or tostones.
Their specials have so far been good. We had the kimchi fried noodles and loved it. We desperately want to try their ramen. I'd keep an eye on them. Their lemon jazz soda was unique. It had a flavor and fizz I've never had before.
Overall. I'd come back. They make good stuff. If you've never had their KFC and can tolerate their side. Do it. If you're eating there. Try the orange chicken. Try their dumplings or Xiao too. As for me and my friend. We'll come back depending on their specials or when their KFC calls to us again. We can't wait...
Read moreThe one thing Bento had going for it, was the atmosphere and the ambiance, which was beautiful. The food and service however, didn’t hold to that standard. We came in today and waiting about 55 minutes for our food, while there were was one table besides us when we walked in, and one more table that was sat while we waited. We ordered two entrees, the mongolian beef and the kung pao chicken, which were both incredibly too salty and just swimming in sauce. Our server mentioned that the chicken wouldn’t be spicy, and while I love spice, my younger brother bit right into a chile as his first bite, and wasn’t the happiest about it. Our server asked us two or three times if everything was ok for the moment while we waited for our food…but there was nothing really to ask about. We waited so long for the food, and then when we finally received it, we had to ask twice for our water to be refilled. My final straw was walking into the bathroom and there not being any toilet paper. I’d understand if it was busy, but like I said, we were one of three tables. There were 3 servers on the floor. The whole night just didn’t add up, and although I mentioned all this after paying and tipping, in a respectful manner, I could never recommend this place to someone. I myself won’t be making the 45 min trip from Aguadilla, back. I’ve had this place saved in my “restaurants to visit” tab for months, and unfortunately was terribly...
Read moreThis was a great finding and overall great experience! The service was good and the ambience was nice too. We went on a weekend and the wait time was a bit long, around 45 mins. In general, it’s worth it the wait since the food was really tasty and different! We’ve tried the Bao buns, wok fried rice, KFC and OG (orange chicken), and the kinchi fries. I must say the kimchi fries were really delicious, we couldn’t get enough and would come back just for that! The Bao buns were good and the sauce was great, but it’s a small portion and you may want to order a side. The fried rice wasn’t really great, a bit greasy and tasteless. I also loved the OG and the KFC. The portions were decent, everything was freshly made. I wasn’t expecting to pay extra for the sides, but based on the portion sizes we were OK. If you are going on a weekend be prepared for some wait time, since it’s a food truck and they have lots of orders. The location in the map isn’t quite accurate, but we found them at the corner of the parking lot. We’ll...
