DO NOT COME HERE ON THURSDAYS

Wife and I frequent this coffee drive thru every single week. Ever since a change in our schedule had us coming here on Thursdays instead of our typical Fridays, we've consistently ran into the same male barista (as far as we know, he's the only male barista of the shop) again and again. At first, he seemed a little confused on how to make our coffees (asking us what we wanted in them... when the ordered items are very specific in what's put in them), so we just assumed he was new at the job (we never ran into him any other day in our visits). But as time went on, we started to realize that he lacked any care/interest in his work. He would barely mix our frappes (leading to large chunks of chocolate chips or other items that can't be sucked through a straw), he'd give us the same size of drink even if we asked for different sizes, he'd practically refuse to put any sugars/sweeteners that isn't a quick pre-mix (leading to a lot of bitter and unpleasant drinks), and to top it all off: He'd only give us ONE stamp for our visits. We'd always order 2 coffees, sometimes 3 - and yet, he'd ONLY give us ONE stamp. No, this isn't company policy. All OTHER baristas we've had would always give us one stamp PER DRINK.

For the most part, we've ignored his poor service and just did our best to not come here on Thursdays - but we can't always ensure this due to our work and life schedules. So, every now and then, we'd end up here on Thursdays, on our way to our regular visits in the week... Today, however, was the last straw. Not only did we get the usual treatment (bare-mixing of drinks, no sugars/sweeteners, one stamp) - but the coffee we ordered today was SO HOT THAT IT WARPED THE CUP. Not sure if you realize this, but COFFEE SHOULD NOT BE HOT ENOUGH TO WARP THE CONTAINER IT GOES INTO. My wife grabbed the cup in her usual way, but due to the heat, the cup immediately warped in her CAREFUL HOLD, popped its lid off, and spilled all over the car, her seat, and her hands.

Her hand was burned from this... And all the barista offered... were napkins. Not a refund. Not a replacement. Not an apology. Just napkins.

Spill the Beans... Nutrition Hang-Out... PLEASE TEACH THIS BARISTA PROPER WORK DISCIPLINE AND ETIQUETTE OR HAVE HIM FIRED. My wife's hand was burned from this incident. We have a right to sue. Also, we noticed a new face there who seems to be learning the ropes from him: DO NOT LET HIM TEACH OTHERS HOW TO SERVE COFFEE/TREAT CUSTOMERS HERE.

... Everyone else that works here? The service and quality of drinks they serve? Fairly good folks and drinks. A solid 4 stars if it were not for...

First and last visit. Not sure if we just caught them on a bad day, but….. Staff was rude, ordered 3 drinks 2 of which had half & half. Fortunately, I didn’t drink much of my large drink as it tasted off. Unfortunately, the little I did drink was enough to actually make me sick. Stopped here this morning on the way to work to try it out. Their coffee was fabulous. I had a medium buscoff cookie iced latte. It was the size of a large for Starbucks and it was gone before I made it to Benton! I also had one of their blueberry muffins and it was wonderful. I recommend this...
