No wait time was immediately seated. The waitress came as soon as we sat and took our drink order and returned 5 minutes later to take our food order. The waitress claimed she was new, so I understood why it took her 30+ minutes to check up on us, even when the place was not packed. Food came and the pancakes were undercooked, the bacon was overdone and they literally threw a slice of cheese on top of my eggs when I asked for scrambled with cheese. Overall, the food was not the greatest. I won't be returning to this one anytime soon, unless they actually learn how to cook a meal worth eating. Edit: Visit #2, thought I would give it another go after 2 years since I'm back in the area for a business trip. Well, once again this visit was awful. Got another new employee who served us (are all these people new?) Again, I was immediately seated by the hostess up front. And then I waited, about 15 minutes rolled by and the waitress came and took my drink and food order. Well, within a 35-minute wait time, a couple who was seated 10 minutes after I did got their order within 15 minutes of my 35-minute wait. Eventually, I got my food and I asked where half my order was and was informed that they were out of said item. I asked them why she couldn't come back to me and inform me of that, instead I asked for a substitute on the spot. Mind you, the food was cold and I never got a refill on my drink. Oh, before I forget, I never did get my cornbread muffins that were supposed to come with my order. Eventually, I paid and left, knowing I would never return to this location ever again.

The pinto beans had a film over them like they'd been sitting for quite a while and they weren't warm either and not just pinto beans in there they were mixed. I don't know if our server was new but after she brought our food that was the end of her until she finally came back and gave us our ticket to see if we needed anything else. Like I said this isn't the first Cracker Barrel that this has happened at. It has really gone downhill. I don't know what's going on but the service, the pride and the food has all gone downhill. It's just not good. It seems like nobody cares anymore. When I spend $50 I don't expect to go home hungry and I expect the food to be decent and at the very least warm.

Manager might need some extra training in quality and customer service. We our local customers and visit this Cracker Barrel often hoping that they will improve education to their kitchen staff. New Visit I haven't visited since the last disappointing meal. Thought I would give it a try again. The biscuits should not of even came out of the kitchen. I can't see where they think it's ok to serve burnt biscuits. The other picture is the mashed potatoes. I thought mashed potatoes should be white. They came out cold they came out molded from sitting in warming pan. What happened to having a little pride in the food you serve.

Horrible service. Got greeted took drink order (me and my wife) came back with one drink (we both got sweet tea with lemon) no straw and no lemon. Came back to take order and forgot we didn't have second drink and no way to drink other. Got that worked out placed order( I got the special for today 2 pork chops and loaded baker and mac and cheese my wife got fried chicken with turnip greens and corn) we waited 30 minutes as a table that came in after we had ordered get there food and finish before we got ours. Our waiter seems to disappear and reappears every 15 to 20 minutes. I had to flag my waiter down and ask him where our food was at he said I know it's been like 30 minutes you should get it free I think your waiting on the pork chop ( which the pork chop is the special for the day) A guy whom I a sum was the manager came out never told us who he was and never apologized for the wait all he said was they chicken is almost ready and they just dropped the pork chop (may I remind you that the pork chop is the daily special) and walked back to the kitchen. Let me remind you that every meal comes with biscuit or cornbread at any time they could have offered us them as we where hungry and waiting 30+ minutes for our food. The food finally came out my pork chop was pretty good quite impressed (that's saying a lot since I been in the cooking industry for 16 years) but the mac and cheese was greasy and the bacon from the loaded baker was rubbery (this is a premium side) my wife's chicken and greens was good but the corn had no flavor at all. So as I open my silverware it has spots all over them (the knife,spoon, and fork) so I asked for to go silverware my wife asked for applebutter for her biscuit another sweet tea and some hot sauce for her chicken. We waited over 5 minutes and proceeded to ask another waitress walking by if she could grab this stuff for us so we could eat the food which was already late. She brought it out and about 45 seconds behind her our server walks out with drinks for another table. Not even seeing if we where ok our needed anything. By this time we are ready to go (didnt even finish our food) asked for boxes and drinks to go. My wife seen our waiter make our drink and then proceed to take them further in the back out of view. We didn't take the drinks with us. This was a horrible experience . If I could give no...

I never write reviews unless something is really bad or really good. Unfortunately this falls into the first category. They weren’t terribly busy but there still wasn’t enough wait staff to take care of the dinner crowd. Apparently a manager had sent 3 servers home around 5:00-just before dinner rush? It took 10 minutes to even get my name in after the first hostess just said there would be a wait and she didn’t know how long and then wandered off to seat a family. A new, very pleasant hostess finally came up and started taking names down.Then the first hostess came back, grabbed silverware, and just walked off toward the table without bothering to tell us we were supposed to follow her, then just stood there looking at us. Figured out we were supposed to follow her so we went on to the table and she started to walk off. I had to stop her to ask if we could get menus. Maybe she was stressed out but she seemed very bothered by the fact that we were asking her anything . Our waitress however was great and the things that negatively affected our experience was not at all on her. We finally got seated, and ordered our drinks. I ordered an ice water. I’ve had a lot of waters in my life and this water was disgusting. I can’t even describe the taste. I’ve accidentally ingested lake water before that did not taste this terrible. The waitress apologized and said I was about the 5th one to tell them the water was bad. It was putrid. I have no idea what is going on with their water but something is bad wrong. The managers should have stopped serving water immediately after multiple people complained. Our meal was hot and fresh and came out relatively quickly so that was a plus. I then ordered desert to go and got the peach cobbler. I received a bowl of peaches. I wish I was exaggerating, but there was not a single piece of breading in the cup. Not one tiny piece. I’ve never had such a poor Cracker Barrel experience before…we were very disappointed. Edited to add that the bathrooms were very dirty….not from one day of neglect but...

On oct 20, 2021 we had dinner at the cadiz ky cracker barrel. I ordered the homestyle chicken BLT. The menu listed it as a crispy chicken sandwich. I always get this. Grilled was not an option. The server brought me a grilled chicken sandwich. i immediately told her this is not what i ordered. She told me the homestyle chicken blt is a grilled chicken sandwich. I asked for the menu i showed her the paragraph that stated it is a southern crispy not grilled. She looked at me asked did i want to send it back? I said yes i would like to get what i ordered. So everyone eats while i wait. Brought me the new sandwich with same fries that are now limp and cold. The cornbread was hard as a rock. Husbands tea was 2.99 for huckleberry but only refilled it with plain sweet tea. The check was to be split. It came altogether. We asked another waitress to split and which order to put the bengiets on. It came back wrong again. We just paid for the split up wrong meals and left. It was very slow that night only a handful of people in there but the waitresses moped around like it was the last place they wanted to be . They need to be taught work effort, speak up so we can hear them, and get the led out and work instead of them all congregating at the side door talking to each other and obviously workers from the the back that have gloves on and just stand and talk. Do they change their gloves after standing with everyone and propping their arms and hands up on the door way before handling our food? Wheres any management? In the end our meal was not great, they didnt care but sure wanted the 39.00 when i left. Afterwards someone else told us the service is really bad there. The excuse of short staff cant be used here. They have time to mingle they have time go get my order right and they need to learn what they are selling. Ps. To lazy to put a log on the fire? Just a gas pipe fire starter as flames.
