El Vagón del Búho — Restaurant in Caguas

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Puerto Rican food truck El Vagon del Buho and I have to say, it was one of the best food truck experiences I've ever had! From start to finish, the food was delicious, authentic, and memorable.

The mofongo was definitely a highlight of the meal. The texture was perfect, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and it was bursting with flavor. The plantains were mashed to perfection and the garlic added just the right amount of kick. It was served with tender and juicy grilled chicken that was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.

The burrito was also excellent. It was packed with flavorful ingredients like tender beef, black beans, and rice, and it was wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla. The toppings were also spot-on, with just the right amount of cheese and sour cream to complement the other flavors.

And let's not forget the stuffed avocado! This was a real standout dish, with the creamy avocado perfectly complementing the savory, well-seasoned filling. It was a perfect balance of flavors and textures that left me wanting more.

Overall, I would highly recommend this Puerto Rican food truck located at Caguas Food Park to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Caribbean cuisine. I went there June 3, 2023 like around 6:40pm. Let me say that the carne ahumada was really good, super tender 10/10. On the other hand, the mofongo was a lil bit on the dry side. Was expecting more on the mofongo cuz I was told it was a must when eating there . Did not blow my mind, 4/10.The classic burger was a good choice, it was a thick and pretty big homemade patty with some crispy fries on the side 😋. For three orders of 1/2carne ahumada and mofongo, plus a classic burger with fries, three waters and one coke….....

Update: Very disappointed! I visit this place before and I was very pleased with their food so I decided to place an order today December 17, 2023. First I try to call and they never answer so I have to place my order via Uber eat. The quality of the food really has gone down 👎🏼. Hard meat, burnt tostones.
