Mediterranean Pita Grill — Restaurant in Calabasas

Keep on looking for this type food ELSEWHERE. Pass this one up if you are looking for good Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food! Today, 11/1/16 we went to the Mediterranean Pita Grill because we love this type of food and found it on line as we live elsewhere. Having not had lunch we devoured our Chicken Shawarma which was unrecognizable as such, compared to our many years of consuming this usually delicious meal. The hummus had the taste of watered down, canned beans, blended with a drop of lemon. The only overpaid item that had a familiar taste, was the supplier purchased Pita Breads. Shortly before leaving I move in my seat and found my blouse was attached to the table's edge. I found I had a hole and a long snag in my blouse, caused by the chipped pieces on the table's edge. All the tables were the same in this fast food farce for a Mediterranean Restaurant. I told them the owner needed to repair the tables and how it had caused a hole and snag in my $90 blouse. Her reply was I will let the owner know and acted unaware of the tables condition. I also told her to let the owner know they needed to learn how to cook Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern food. Unfortunately I didn't take photos or you'd see them here. However, you can view the tables yourself if you make the same mistaken decision and go eat their $$ unworthy food. Ordered food through door dash. Recieved my food. Was very disappointed. The beef and chicken were very dry. So I called and told me all they can do is give me a new plate, but I'd have to go drive and pick it up. Would not because I just played for delivery. Really inconvenient. So I asked for a refund and the lady told me that was not possible that I could leave my info and shed leave it for the manager to call me. Never recieved a call back and I had to call today and leave my info again. Finally the manager called and apologized. Etc etc . Didnt know how to talk without taking anything personal. Service was HORRIBLE here. I NEVER bother with revievews , this is my first one and I felt compelled to leave one cuz service really SUCKED and HIGHLY...

The veggie plate was mid, overpriced and the falafel was very dry and crumbly. Only good thing was baba ghanoush. But the guy at the front lacked professionalism. Both my husband and I ordered a veggie platter and he only made one. Instead of apologizing for the delay and making another plate, he got into a silly back and forth with us making accusatory comments saying “oh you both ordered it so we just made one” wtf? Just be accountable and say sorry for the delay I missed that, and just make the second one. Also I asked for it to be spicy which was an extra 1$ and he forgot to include any spicy sauce in my bowl, clearly inattentive to any add ins/ customizations. Won’t be coming back again due...
