This was my first, and last time eating here. The servers were friendly, but the service itself was subpar along with everything else. We waited an entire meal for refills, and the food was extremely disappointing for this supposedly being "the seafood capital of the world ". My sons both had the chicken strips, and neither one touched them again after the first bite. I had the broiled salmon, and it was pretty terrible. It came to the table cold, flavorless and rather dry. I made the mistake of ordering the green beans in an attempt to be healthy which worked out wonderfully. The green beans, which were clearly straight from a can, were so bad that I didn't even bother eating my side. My husband's shrimp looked like something out of the freezer at the grocery store. Most importantly, we had a child with us who is on a very strict gluten/dairy free diet, and we were forced to order a full priced meal due to the lack of anything not fried on the kid's meal. All in all, we left feeling like we had waisted almost $100 on a meal that...
Read moreMy family has gone here for 40+ years. Since the old lady was still alive. We haven't been back to the beach in about 7 years and since then this place has gone down hill. Which is truly a shame and I hope they turn things around fast. We got 1lb of peel and eat shrimp. They were okay but they were floppy and a little mushy. We also got 6 raw oysters on the half shell... that was a mistake. I should have seen the red flag when the waitress couldn't tell me where they came from. They were slightly slimy and had a funny taste to a few of them. They made my stomach turn and maybe thats why I didnt enjoy the rest of the meal. Go to Oyster Rock for raw oysters. The fried scallops were fine, the lobster ravioli was actually pretty good. My mom had the fried shrimp and enjoyed it. For me, it was too greasy. And lastly, the fried oysters were also a miss. The wait staff was very friendly and she stayed on top of everything. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back as there are just better...
Read moreI have been to Dockside many times over the years and felt that is a good choice when a family comes to town for a nice seafood dinner. In the past the food was always very good and portions generous. NEVER AGAIN. We went for dinner because family was in town and excited to get some good seafood. I ordered the flounder broiled with clam strips. First, I must say there were no strips of clam. it was nothing but tiny crumbs of possible clam, smaller than a pea. I also ordered the flounder broiled, which is an upcharge of $1.50 the portion was disappointedly small. I also ordered a baked potato, again another upcharge of $1.50 and it was so cold it would not melt the butter I added to it. My sister's meal was not much better, tiny portion of flounder, cold baked potato. Now , it was not busy , so maybe that was our sign of the degrading of the food at Dockside. I will say our server was outstanding and I have no complaints with the service. I am so disappointed with...
