Bob Evans — Restaurant in Caledonia Charter Township

There are good intentions of being a decent resturant...except it failed...badly. We were greeted very nicely by a young man and then showed us to our table. He gets a 5 star (dark hair and spuratic tattoos on his arms) he was polite set our table up and started the visit strong. Our waitress came took our order for our drinks.The manager came by about 2 min later concerned we were ignored by our waitress, but mumbled her concern...at this point is when it started going down hill. Our waitress dropped our drinks off and that was it. Didnt see her nor the manager for the next 40 min. No meal, no sorry for the delay no refills..nothing. Then apparently the meal was ready and we got to see our waitress again. I honestly thought she went home for the night. The manager was there she mumbled an apology for the delay. When they dropped the food off they dropped the receipt off too, and well we didnt see our waitress again after that either. The food was warm (and ultimately made me and my daughter run to the bathroom a short time later) the service, was bad. There was no good part after we were seated. We will not be returning. Wish the best for this place, Bob Evan's is a classic, the manager needs to be more confident, and the wait staff be...

UPDATE: Tried to go here again 5 months after original post. Terrible service again. Ended up leaving because still didn’t have our food after 30 minutes. Again, restaurant wasn’t even that busy. We suspect the waitress forgot to put our order in. It took a long time for us to be noticed at our table initially, so we had our doubts immediately. Unfortunately, turned out to be true.

ORIGINAL POST: Terrible service on a Sunday morning, and the place wasn’t even that busy. Walked in and there were 3 groups waiting at the hostess stand to be greeted and 2 groups waiting on the check out counter to pay. No staff around, eventually the manager noticed the crowd and started checking people out. Needed our check, waited, and noticed our server was in the parking lot on break dinking around on her phone. While taking our drink orders, the server turned her back on me while I was still talking (I was ordering ice water and then tried to order coffee also but,...

Went for a late lunch with my brother and cousin today. First visit to this place. Nice clean restaurant. The menu is extensive. All day breakfast. Lots of special. EZ to order custom dishes. Tons of healthy choices. Great visuals on the menu which makes everything tempting! Our wait staff was on the ball. Got the orders correct. Kept checking on the drinks. Very friendly. I ordered a dish called the Farm Trio which has turkey/dressing, roast beef/potatoes and ham plus carrots. A bit indulgent but so good! Iced tea was great too. At the cash register I wanted to split the bill with my cousin. The teller screwed up the math which I didn't like. I don't think he liked me correcting him. C'mon. Dividing numbers by two is a basic arithmetic function. Not my fault he blew the moment. That blunder aside, it was a good visit, good food and lots of it. I'd eat here again...
