KFC — Restaurant in Caledonia Charter Township

I have been coming here for years, and unfortunately, all the reviews on this location are true. This KFC is well known for mixing up orders. However, it's only KFC. Every KFC that exists is mediocre and overpriced. I dont expect much from any of them. You are very rarely even going to get fresh cooked to order fried chicken unless you request it. And even then, I'd bet it still comes from under a heatlamp. I have worked in steakhouses and other restaurants for nearly 20 years, and I guarantee most of the times I've eaten KFC, my 🍗 has been pre-cooked and thrown under a heat lamp. This is true about dozens of locations ordered from throughout my life. It's not always terrible, but it's never anything special either bc it's rarely fresh. You should always get what you order from every restaurant you order from, so I understand folks' frustration there. My sides are almost always wrong for me and one other person over the course of 10 years or more coming here. This doesn't stop me from coming here about 3 times a year tho bc when I crave something, I crave it regardless if it's actually not that good. Cook your own fried chicken at home if you're looking for good classic 🍗.... It's not as difficult as you might assume. There's an endless number of recipes online that are mostly great and accurate, so pick one and try it. The seasoning, how you bread your chicken, and the temperature of the oil are the most important things to remember for cooking perfect fried chicken. Most of the top recipes you'll find with a basic google search will get you perfect fried 🍗 as long as you follow the directions. There are really yummy air fryer fried chicken recipes out there that seriously taste like classic fried chicken but healthier. Oh, and the folks here complaining about the sides, KFC has had the same sides they have always had. Basic sides. The Mac n cheese has never been very good, and the mash potatoes with gravy are good, but def not homemade good. They're obviously just instant potatoes. Good slaw, good fries. That's about all...

KFC Owosso has messed up our order the last 3 times that we have ordered from here. With gas prices the way they are, my husband has to drive back to KFC to retrieve what they have failed to include in our order. Each time we are met with arguments whether it was given to us. This last time, my husband went to retrieve the main entree a pot pie that he did not get and the girls working there were mocking him. The girl at the register was telling the other girl that “he needed his pot pie”, while the other girl stated”it looks like he needs a pot pie”, and they both laughed at the comment. My husband stated how rude and unprofessional they were being and asked for the manager. After stating that she was not in, my husband said that he would be calling and speaking to her in which the girl behind the counter replied, “ you do what you gotta do”. This was very uncalled for and this establishment just lost another customer. With this kind of service, we would not recommend this place to anyone! I ordered from here twice today (Lunch for my kids, and dinner for my husband and myself). Today was the first time I have had any issues, and there were issues for both orders. First, I ordered 3 2pc combos and 2 3pc combos. They gave me 5 2pc combos. So I paid extra money for less stuff. For the 2nd order, my husband's food was fine, except the fries tasted pretty old. But my food was messed up. In the app, you can't customize wraps that are in the combo. You also can't customize the wraps that are listed as 2/$5. So I had to buy 2 individual wraps at $3/wrap just so I could customize it, then ordered a side and drink because, as I said, you can't customize if you order the combo. So I paid extra money JUST TO CUSTOMIZE my wraps. I put on there no mayo. I PAID for NO mayo. They put mayo on both wraps. I don't know what was going on today. I normally wouldn't even bother leaving a review. But 2 orders messed up in the same day. Get it together Owosso KFC. Y'all are...
