Subway — Restaurant in Calera

My daughter and I stopped for a late lunch. We both got footlong Club sandwiches, hers on 9-grain bread and mine on the new sunflower seed bread. We both got the Lays Dill Pickle potatoe chips and they were excellent! This was the first time for both of us for those chips. All the sandwich toppings looked very fresh and the employees were very accomodating. There were plenty of places to sit inside and all the tables and chairs were clean. My only negative comment is that I thought one of my sandwich meats was spoiled but my daughter said hers were fine and when I tasted the meats, each by itself, they tasted fine. My conclusion is the combo of the Club meats and the sunflower seed bread did not mix well. I do find Subway to be expensive. Our two footlong Clubs as a combo totaled $23:36! A couple coworkers and I called in our order so that only one of us would have to run down the road to pick it up. I asked if they were busy at the moment and the lady who answered said they weren't. After placing the order for only 3 subs (all on the same ticket) I was told it'd be ready in thirty minutes! Apparently ten other orders had come through during my call in. This is not a typical subway, in my opinion. I stopped eating Subway for about a year until last week when I went to this location after a friend told me about the quality of the ingredients. The vegetables are very fresh. The bread is awesome. I know all subways make their own bread, but I think most let the dough sit out too long, and the bread comes out with an old taste. The employees are very nice and close the lids to the ingredients after they are done making the sandwich, I think this is what makes the ingredients stay so fresh.
