500F Pizza x Taphouse — Restaurant in California

I found a staple (as in a staple from an desk stapler) in the second slice of my pizza. The manager made no attempt to resolve a serious problem that I as the customer didn't create. I realize mistakes happen, but I wanted a refund as I didn't feel safe eating the rest of a pizza after I bit into a staple which was clearly baked into the pizza.

The manager was unpleasant and demanded that I bring the pizza back for a staple inspection. He was combative, rude, and had little interest in offering a refund without the apparently-necessary post-takeout pizza staple inspection. He was adamant that this restaurant doesn't use staples. However, all I know is that I bit into a splice of pizza and chewed on a staple. I'm lucky that I didn't get injured. It's not my problem as the customer to figure out how a staple got into my pizza. I shouldn't have to plead my case for a staple-free pizza to get a refund. Terrible service for solving a dangerous problem when all I asked for was a simple refund.

Honestly, my first staple-free slice of pizza was excellent and tasty. However, I would tell others that if you find foreign material in your food, good luck getting it resolved! 2 stars because tasty, but you got to roll the dice on whether there's gonna be foreign objects in there.

We were promptly greeted and seated by a wonderful employee! First initial impressions were as followed: front entrance spotless! Floors, spotless! Table and seating area spotless! My visit was during a slow part of the business day BUT- nevertheless this establishment, from interaction seems to really love and care about their business and the experience they provide!

We ordered: 2 Towns Ciderhouse "The Bad apple," which was a new cider they acquired through recommendation! The cider was pleasant and there wasn't a super alcohol taste. Went down smooth and proper! 10.5% alcohol volume! So you don't need much!

Appetizers: Mozzarella Sticks w/ Ranch - they were fresh with THE STRING PULL!! Totally worth getting while dining in! I always recommend getting Appetizers while dining in so you guys experience the food at its prime!

8 slice pizza "medium,": classic pepperoni light on the sauce- which they definitely took into account while making our pizza. We love tomato sauce but unfortunately sometimes the acidity messes with our stomachs! So we appreciate anytime an establishment takes requests serious!!!

rdered online. My wife picked up the order and when it gets home I see that crust and pepperoni is black there's no basil and I ordered pan crust and it came to regular. So I drive back with the pizza and they admit to messing up on the order and that they ran out of Basil yet they would not tell my wife this. They say they can remake my pizza if I wait. At this point I was not given an apology. I tell him okay that would be fine but how are you going to compensate for me driving back and forth and having to wait extra long for my family's dinner. I wasn't looking for free stuff but that was a major inconvenience not to mention they gave her a pizza to take home that was not up to standards and missing ingredients. He then treated me like I was trying to take advantage and get free stuff and continue to lie and tell me the burnt crust and pepperoni was something that will happen every time and that he cannot refund my money because I paid for it online. And knowingly not giving me an ingredient a topping that they charge extra for to me is like stealing. I made a report...
