We had a lovely family celebratory dinner..my husband and I are visiting family in Diamond Springs from the east coast..We had a bottle of the best red wine ever can't remember the name but will find out and make it my go to. We ate escargot..for starters..lotsa garlic, just the way we like it and the baguette was out of this world!. The beef bourguignon was crave worthy..on a fall evening..comfort food, not too rich, perfectly seasoned with mashed potatoes, vegetables and beef cooked to perfection! So tender! Our salads were lovingly wrapped to go..so we made room for dessert..my favorite was my sister's dark hocolate mousse light yet rich enough..a perfect ending. Allez is a local gem for my sister and her hub. They know everyone there and checked on everyone personally and the staff responded warmly, yet we were given enough space for the loving conversation we needed. Note that the noise level for that was perfect..all that being said, I have been to Allez whenever I visit, will continue to and highly recommend other visitors make it their tradition also..always a lovely...

Either way you will not be disappointed in the delicious food, my husband and I LOVE the box lunch, a sandwich on a baguette, a slice of Brie cheese, a small container of your choice of salad, my favorite is the green bean potato, a delicious tart, don’t get me started on these, but my favorite is the berry tart with pastry creme, it melts in your mouth. And a small homemade chocolate chip cookie. Portions are nice and if you want you can save half your sandwich for later( I always do) their soups are delicious as well. Read moreHad a wonderful experience at Allez! We arrived at 4:00 as they open and already a line! We felt so fortunate to get a table for four! This place is little but big on flavor and kindness!
We started with escargot and roasted garlic wirh tapenade. Both were the best I’ve ever had. Beautiful presentation and the bread is to die for with the tapenade. We then ordered two beouf bourginon and split a seafood paella. The paella wasn’t great as the rice was very Al dente and not a lot of flavor at all. The bourginon is amazing wirh beautiful mashed potatoes! Just exquisite for a cold day.
Next: deserts! The Meyer lemon tarts are so goood as was the napoleon with fresh berries and the creme puff with caramel. I will be dreaming of the next time I get to visit Placerville and Diamond Springs! Thanks for he most gracious host,...
