Edit: In response to the owner. Thanks for the response.
It was a week day (our daughter was at school). The place was about half full. It definitely happened. And the details are accurate. I do not embellish or exaggerate - always strive to be fair and honest with reviews. ——————- We had been here at least a few times before and enjoyed the place overall, but on this occasion (couple months ago) we ended up leaving.
The owner came to the table to take our order and, to be clear… we knew what we wanted. I looked to my wife to be sure of our decision and she hesitates only slightly to confirm and I hesitate… a mere two seconds… before looking to give our order
Not exaggerating that timing in the slightest.
He says “ok” in a very rude tone and turns and walks away. As if we had wasted his time and put him behind somehow.

Read moreHusband and wife operated place. All the 5 star reviews are boomers that are lying and have never been anywhere else besides cracker barrel. the country fried steak I got had lots of chewy fatty bits in it. However, the Eggs and hashbrowns were good. My partner had french toast, however it seemed like it was quickly dipped in an egg wash and we could not taste the cinnamon or vanilla a french toast should have. Damn thing tasted like bread with syrup. Maybe because it was super busy, the food came out the way it did, but whatever, thats on me, don't go to a restaurant when its busy, and definitely don't listen to old boomer's reviews, they dont know what good food is if it slapped them in the face and took their...
Read moreBrian and his wife do an amazing job of running the Firehouse Cafe. The food is great, the service is incredible and the place has all the feel of a classic small town diner. I have been getting the country fried steak and eggs anywhere that has it on the menu the last year or so. Without hesitation I'll call the Firehouse Cafe's superior to every other restaurant that I've been in offering it. She does an amazingly light and rich gravy over a well fried steak, perfect scramble and beautifully flaky hash browns. My wife and dad have had just about everything on the menu and always happy with the great food and...
