I was waiting at the bar at 9.30 pm. I wanted to order an appetizer, for my friend who was celebrating his birthday and was a little tipsy I wanted him to eat something before continuing the celebration; and then at 9.45 pm the bartender lady name Genesis told me in perfect Spanish that I couldn’t order my food because the kitchen was closed; and she continued to take two other people orders, two lady’s and a gentleman; then I asked her if I could place my order since I saw her sending those orders to the kitchen, I explained to her that all I wanted was the sampler platter and she kindly told me that the system would not let her send more orders and suggested that I should go to the cafe that is open 24 hours. The time was 9.45 pm when the restaurant closed at 10pm they could totally could have taken my order. (I came as a guess to the birthday bash party which it was beautiful, but that alone is another review) I have work for 25 years in the restaurant industry and this is just not gratifying and very poor costumer service. Very disappointed experience. My friend I left to Sycuan Casino on 5469 Casino Way, El Cajon Ca. To continue his birthday...
Read moreThis restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Our server was amazing, attentive, & friendly. I regret that I can't remember his name. We weren't too hungry although our reservations were for dinner. I believe my stomach was distracted by getting over to the slot machines. We ordered the dirty fries, Asian wings, and French Dip & Swiss to share. Every single item was delish! They brought our order to us in seperate serving dishes which k thought was unique & adorable. The presentation for wings suprised me with the jalapeño garnishes. It was more than enough for my husband and I. I only wish we were able to take our leftovers, but understandably they're not longer offering that due to the pandemic. The decor is casual/sports bar like. We dined inside but our table had an awesome view of the patio, and it looks serene with fire pits & palm trees. I would definitely go back for a full...
Read moreFood is fairly priced for what you receive. Many tempting menu items. We ordered the Fish & Chips, which was weird: too much dough drowning out the tiny piece of fish inside + batter was not what you'd expect for Fish & Chips. Dough used was more like that of a fritter. Desserts: Boudino Parfait was a 7/10 & the Chocolate Cake was dry- 5/10. Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits were only worth mentioning with the honey butter on them. Service from our own server was good- she was spread far too wide to give us prompt attention, but she was awesome when she was there. (Don't bother trying to get ANY other server to help you- they ignore everyone who isn't their table & even when we asked one for malt vinegar, the gal never brought it. They also avoid eye contact with you. So much for teamwork?) Not sure if we'd ever go back to Baron, but if we do, we're getting a highly visible table and not...
