Tuesday, 10/22/2024 - We went to eat at Brahma Bar & Grill for the 1st time. Address is 10239 Fair Oaks Blvd, Ste D, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. They are right next door to Shangri-la restaurant in Fair Oaks. There is a small parking lot. Kind of hard to find parking with limited parking spaces. But once you find parking...

Pros

  1. you have to wait to be seated. They have outside seating and i saw tables inside, but no one was seated inside.
  2. there was a bar with TVs to watch sports inside.
  3. two separate bathroom stalls inside. The one I went into was clean and cute.
  4. we sat outside since it was sick a beautifulday. The table we sat on looked clean and chairs felt clean. No stickiness.
  5. they have happy hour Tuesday - Fridays, 3pm to 5pm.
  6. we ordered the Brisket French Dip with sweet potato fries ($21.00). The brisket had a smoked flavor to it and it was falling apart deliciousily. It was so easy to eat. We both loved it!! It was enough to feed 2 people. We were both stuffed. We were going to get dessert, but change our minds after.
  7. water tasted good. No funky or metal taste.
  8. our server brought us extra napkins just in case we needed it. We did! Thank you for the extra napkins.

Cons

  1. our waitress didn't check back on us. We needed water refills and a soda refill. She was busy talking to some other people for a long time.
  2. when she finally turned to look towards our way, I flagged her down and asked for a soda refill. With a nice smile, she said she'll get it. But went and seated another couple down and proceeded to talk to them forever too. We sat and waited and waited and waited for our refill. Then we finally realized she's going to be taking a long time, and so we left cash on the table and walked away. Yes, we still tipped.

Conclusion We like this restaurant. The Brisket French Dip and sweet potatoes fries were made perfectly. It was so delicious! We plan to return. But it'd be nice if there were 2 servers vs one. Maybe there were two and the other one never came back out. Idk. But I only saw one and she was busy. So she couldn't check on the customers if they wanted to order anything else, needed liquid refills, or whatever. I still recommend this restaurant. Service may have not be so great, but...

'23/8 1st review, but customer handful times over the past year: -- Located in Old Fair Oaks. A tad bit tough to find the 1st time (i.e. when ask 1st timer to meet up), as tucked at the back of the small center/parking lot. Free, small parking lot, but typically always full due to sharing with a handful of businesses--including another busy restaurant to the north...unless come on Tuesday, as Brahma is open, but the other large restaurant is closed. Free, limited street parking; but, again, this is typically full on this north side of Old Fair Oaks. A small, free lot also available squeezed between/behind a few shops south; though this is unweildly to direct a first timer to with any semblance of grace. Also a sign posted at parking lot exit says, "Free Overflow Parking After 5PM. Free parking in Water District lot just 100 yards straight ahead" (see posted pic). All that said, be prepared to park and walk a block or two. It's well worth is passing by the quaint park and old-time storefronts, not to mention the wild roaming chickens. -- Small, full bar area whips out delectable drinks. Great options including House Specials. -- Seat yourself sit-down restuarant with one or two fully capable, unpretentious, attentive, enjoyable wait-staff. -- Plenty of outdoor seating (kid/handicap friendly if one can take the weather) for couples and larger groups; the entire area has an air of seclusion being tucked in the back with waist-high wooden sides and shaded by mesh overhead plus full circuit misters. -- Indoor dining room is climate controlled, very small (not suitable to small children, mobility devices/impaired, or hearing impared) consisting of a few large-screen TVs, and a half dozen bar-top height tables (NO regular-height tables) fit tightly together. The waitstaff also passes through this area to serve the outside diners, so there's lots of activity coming/going constantly. -- Menu: rich in choices. -- Restrooms (2): Women's and Mens/Unisex. Both inside past the bar. Bottom Line: a great place to meet up, stay awhile, and unwind! Go for a birthday and be pleasantly surprised--they go the extra mile on this one, trust me. Always consistently good drinks, food,...

The perfect embodiment of Sacramento - casual apres-river outdoor dining & cozy bar, but with comfortable upscale detailing in the fresh ingredients, outdoor daytime misters or evening heat lamps, warm lighting and attentive professional staff. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. Comfort fare staples, but each was immaculate in details done right. We couldn't help making effusive noises & positive comments after each bite. I will suggest Brahma to all family & friends, regardless of their diverse personalities. Brahma has the perfect blend of quality & comfort. Outdoor area is distressed wood, for a relaxed masculine feel; it's tucked into the sweet yet lively destination spot of old town Fair Oaks (similar to old Folsom), complete with wandering roosters and towering old oak trees. I left wanting to return regularly, and definitely to try every delicious offering on the menu (which apparently gets changed up often, to entice return visits all the more). Brahma is a regular dining choice for any Sacramento lover and a sure winner for their visiting guests. It has the feel of good company, easy conversation, delicious fare, and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere. This restaurant launched during covid lockdowns, yet is going strong simply for providing the quality basics everyone is looking for. The manager walked the floor, providing excellent personalized service, and mentioned they were just getting started with the expansive quality upgrades that are in the queue (catering, events, music, etc.). Looking forward to seeing this local business bloom! Definitely embodied "the Best of Sac" - Ag & river roots, bringing grounded down to earth fellowship, mixed with a newly bustling food scene, and appreciation & showcase of warm...

I would give this place five stars, the four stars is for the awesome service that We received. Only reason why I took off one star is because when we called to make reservations that morning they said they were going to have ribeye steaks. And because I love steak I was looking for somewhere to have some type of a ribeye steak. That's why we went here and spent money, to only find out that they only have rib eyes on the weekend. Only steak they had was flank steak. Which I don't know if they put lemon on it but it was the most lemony piece of beef I ever had. I don't know why I kept tasting lemon, but it was not the taste that I was expecting. I did taste my husband's hamburger and it was really good had really good flavor. Would I recommend this place maybe if you like flank steak and the other three items that they have for dinner on their menu. Would I go here again probably not. But thank you so much for the awesome service! Oh and one more thing, they have the tiniest cocktails I've ever had. Will be also posting this review on Yelp

So this place has a damn cool Vibe. We sat outside with the ā€œmistersā€ as the breeze rolled through it was so nice to be outside. Even when the breeze didn’t roll through it was super comfortable even on a day with mid to high 90’s. The service was top notch we didn’t have to wait to be seated. We went for a late lunch. The atmosphere was nice and calm even for our children. Our kids loved the ā€œRazzle Dazzleā€ drink and the gummy bears on top was a win for them. The special was ā€œendless summerā€ and those lettuce wrap ā€œpokeā€ style were absolutely amazing. The fish tacos were fried perfectly with a crunch of the cabbage and the ā€œaoli or sauceā€ and the Chili with chunks of smoked brisket was great. When we go back I need me a full serving of just smoked brisket. That stuff was amazing. The English ale was nice and hearty enough to hang in there with my Brisket Chili. Over all we all were very happy with this place and look forward to going back!!

This place is pretty decent, with good food and nice service. I actually enjoyed the appetizers more than my brisket tacos which were highly recommended by both staff and my colleagues. I think the fish or shrimp tacos might be better than the brisket. My colleagues ordered burgers and it looked so good the complimentary fries were also very good which made me regret ordering tacos. For appetizers, we ordered brussels sprouts, fried calamari, fries, and tater tots which are all good. They also give you free dessert to celebrate any anniversaries such as birthdays. The staff are really nice and friendly. We went there on a rainy day which made me worried because I heard they said they would put us outside but it was actually well-covered with heaters set up so I actually glad that I was staying outside instead of inside, though it was a bit cold later on with the winds. Overall, very positive experience and would recommend
