El Forastero Mexican Food — Restaurant in California

The customer service is always excellent. They were one of the first restaurants to put up the huge glass partition between the customers and the food counter. The food is always delicious and for a better price than most Mexican restaurants. 4 stars because sometimes I'll find a hair in my food. It's happened twice, consecutive days, so I took a long break from this restaurant. Happy to say there was no hair this time around. The drinks are always yummy. I need to order the large next time. I drink the smalls really fast. This is my second go-to Mexican restaurant. I only have two. That says a lot. Nacho cheese and well-cooked and seasoned shrimp is a must. They have that here. Keep up the great work guys!

☆Mexi bowl w/shrimp and avocado slices. To die for! Wanted the same taste as nachos and burritos, but didn't want the tortilla or chips. Too heavy for me. They wrap the Mexi bowl in Saran Wrap. It comes in a cool-looking bowl. It was so nice! Spill-proof.

☆Churro w/no filling. I am so happy they offer filled and sun-filled churros. I strongly dislike filling, but my boyfriend loves it. They've got the best of both worlds at...

This is One of my Favorite To-go Spot for Breakfast Burrito and Fried Tilapia. But I hate to say it, our recent experience at El Forastero Mexican Food-was really disappointing. We’ve ordered from here many times, enjoying their breakfast burritos, fish tacos, and fried tilapia. However, our last visit was a whole different story. The food we received was unsatisfactory—we were served old, soggy French fries, and two of our breakfast burritos were not up to standard. We mentioned it to the employees, they said it was okay, but honestly, it wasn’t. I even had to remove many old fries that tasted spoiled.

To top it off, I ended up feeling really unwell shortly after eating, with repeated bathroom trips. This is definitely not what we expect from a place we used to love. I really think management needs to review their procedures to ensure proper standards are maintained.

Hope something change. Then I will be coming back again to...

Ordered six street tacos for $17.48 upon arriving home with two lactose intolerant children open the box to find nachos with sour cream. Clearly, not what I ordered. When I called Paige was extremely rude and lacked professionalism and customer service and sounded like a robot repeating what she said over and over. Admitted to messing up the order but would not fix the issue. I asked to speak to a manager she said the manager was in Mexico and was not the United States would not be back until further notice. There was no assistant manager or anybody who could help take care of the issue. She said she could not refund my money she can remake the order but driving 14 miles to get there in 14 miles home at this point was not an option. Terrible customer service do not recommend.
