Living in Fallbrook for just about 2 years now with my fiancée and we simply adore the Fallbrook Coffee Co. café.
Location, Location Location! I have to say, I have a love/hate relationship with their location.
The Fallbrook Coffee Co. is situated right at the corner of W. Fallbrook St. and Mission Rd. This makes it a prime hotspot for that quick pick-up & go coffee & snack before your commute to work. Especially if you are on Main Ave. and are heading to Mission Rd., you simply turn right and voila! Perfecto! The downside to this location is that if you want to relax outside in their lovely patio garden with peaceful fountain and serene koi pond, you are subject to hearing all the traffic during rush hours :
It's a blessing and a curse. I DO appreciate how they have a separation between the roadside and their grounds using hedges and perhaps if they extend them more, it would help to block-out the noise (potential fix?).
As for the grounds itself, as stated, there is a quaint outside patio with a fountain for customers to dine in and a few tables with umbrellas and even a fire-pit. The inside has a homey decor with a variety of witty, yet grounded artwork and almost a "log cabin" feel to it. There's a main dining area and also a side-room for family functions or groups. There are also little nooks & corners with reading materials that act as waiting areas too.
Service has always been great here and we are always greeted with smiles and happy folks. I really love the ability to use their Yelp profile to order in advance and just pick-up your order (there's even specified parking for you!) If you're dining in, you can place your order and wait outside and they'll bring it to you. Really nice!
Overall, the food here is good, friendly service and the homey inside dining with A/C and wi-fi makes The Fallbook Coffee Co. one of our...
Read moreOne endearing aspect of Fallbrook is the way people weave avocados into whatever they’re doing whenever possible, as a nod to the area's groves. So, when I was told the gluten-free, vegan, avocado, chocolate chip muffins were just coming out of the oven, I just had to try one. (I wasn't sure how chocolate chips would go with avocado but, hey, I'm up for experimentation.) The food is hearty and delicious at Fallbrook Coffee Company, and there are lots of options. The place can also warm your heart with its eclectic community vibe. You might see a big table of people playing Dungeons & Dragons, two people engrossed in chess, as well as others on their own, studying a book or busy on a laptop. Visitors, parents with young kids, retirees all come in. Out on the partially shaded patio, you might see someone with their elderly loved one enjoying fresh air, conversation and a relaxed time by the beautiful fountain and pond (designed by a local company, Waterscape Creations.) Inside, there is a board on the wall where you can post a piece of paper saying you are donating $5 for someone in need so they can enjoy a cup of coffee. The coffee brand is Talitha, a San Diego roasting company that provides employment, training and services for people coming out of sex trafficking, according to their website. In the main room, a large artwork reminds us that our small actions affect eternity. A Bansky piece hangs in a quiet corner, challenging us to reflect on social change. It is juxtaposed by a sign over our heads as we exit: "This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be...
Read moreMy wife & I were in the area this a.m., & decided to drop in. First off, I loved the quaint, homey feel of this place, both inside & out.
There's a rock pool, with a water feature, as well as trees & nice landscaping out front. Small tables & chairs are spread out smartly here, so you can relax in the sunshine, communing with nature, while you enjoy your coffee drink.
The inside of Fallbrook Coffee Co., makes you feel like you've walked into someone's country home, with antique furniture & country-style decor on the walls that's unpretentious, warm and welcoming.
The person working the counter was approachable & friendly, as he took our order. My wife got a banana nut muffin & I ordered a blueberry scone, from their goody case, which has individual, cello-wrapped baked goods displayed inside. I'm not quite sure if they bake these on the premises, or not.
To wash it down, I ordered a 16oz. Americano- their rich & flavorful Klatch Organic Rainforest Blend Coffee, with 2 Espresso shots. This was delicious. Baked goods were OK.
After finishing, we walked outside, to leave & noticed a Great Egret standing in their rock-bound pool, no doubt looking for fish.
I...
