I liked this small pub/restaurant off Elder & Main St., in Fallbrook, CA. There's an ample-sized parking lot, even when they're busy, like Sunday afternoon, when we were there.
The host welcomed us with a smile, & seated us in a booth, like we asked. My partner & I perused the menu, & were surprised by how a relatively small restaurant could have such a wide array of choices. They had a decent selection of salads, which can have the protein of your choice added, for an additional cost.
You can get one of 3 Italian-bent sandwiches, or a Philly Cheese sandwich, with Tri-tip, which looked like a tasty option.
They also offer a nice selection of Mains, including Fish & Chips, Pork Chop, Bison Meatloaf, Short Rib, Salmon, Lasagna & several more choices.
Prices were a bit on the high side, but the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. They offer 7 pub-list appetizers, something for any taste palette. We ended up choosing the Sweet Potato Fries, which came out hot, & were thinly-sliced and crispy. The nice size order of reddish orange fries were topped with sea salt & parsley.👍
127 West Social has a small bar area, with bar stools, plus they have an epic list of 20 draft beers on tap, with some really good choices, including Pliny the Elder DIPA, from Russian River Brewing. I chose a 10oz. pour of Une Ane'e Belgian Tripel, which I loved! They also offer a limited list of wines.
They have 9 different Stone-Fired Pizzas, & we chose the Fugetaboutit Pizza, $23, which had their delicious homemade red sauce, fennel sausage, mozzarella & fresh basil. This was a thick crust, medium-sized pizza, which arrived at our table piping hot. The pizza was so tasty, plus we ended up taking 3 slices home, since we were stuffed.
The service was friendly, & just a bit on the slow side, as we were there during a busy time, & our server was racing about, trying to give service to a large number of tables.
One thing this restaurant/pub definitely needs are new or re-upholstered booths. For a lot of Mom & Pop restaurants these days, this is not in the budget, but I can always dream, can't I?
All in all, I liked this place, & I'll most certainly ...
Read moreI just called to try to place an order and the person who answered the phone told me to hold while he seated a guest who had walked in and left me on hold and forgot about me for six minutes. I finally hung up to try and call back and the person still has not hung up the phone so the line is busy!! This is my second time trying to eat here and having them fail! The first time I showed up to pick up my order that was $50 and I walked out with ONLY onion rings because they made the wrong burgers and apparently they didn’t have time to correct my order…It has now been 20 minutes and the phone line is still off the hook!!! Since I can’t call my order in ahead of time, I get to go sit there and wait which defeats the purpose of calling in an order. What a joke, maybe they will get my order right this time…UPDATE I finally drove down and placed my order ( the phone was still off the hook ) and got a call back 10 minutes later saying that they don’t have onion rings to complete my order which is not only a side option but a main ingredient on the burger that I ordered… there goes hoping they get it right. This is an unfortunate review and hopefully not business as usual for this restaurant but this is...
Read moreI have heard so many great things about 127 West Social House from multiple friends in Fallbrook. I just had a little get together here the other day to celebrate my birthday. I know that they had to shut down and rebuild after a fire damaged most of the property. Well, this place is just amazing. We had a few of their appetizers, which were just wonderful! Many of us had pizzas and I absolutely loved them! They have a nice selection of things for everyone. We sat outside and they did a wonderful job with lighting, seating and ambient music playing in the background. We saw a stage outside and were informed that they do have live music pretty often! The staff were amazing and we were able to speak with the owner, with only praise of course! I plan on making this a normal go to for lunch and dinner for sure. There is plenty of free parking available with room for larger rigs. It is ADA accessible with plenty of ramps and room to maneuver in the restrooms. The restrooms are gender specific but are single occupancy. They do not have a full liquor license, but offer a large selection of beers, wine, and wine based cocktails! We triend a "few" out and were not...
