Flo's Country Cafe — Restaurant in California

I don't think I've EVER done a review, however, my family is new to the area and we wanted to give this hidden gem a try! Everything was amazing! Warm and welcoming for the most part. I have children(1 who has a disability). Due to this, my son rarely likes going to new places because, he fears the judgment and comments and I cannot blame him, I struggle as well watching him being talked about and stared at! It's hard to be the mom who keeps herself composed and remains peaceful and polite and not give others the satisfaction of reacting but, this other customer who was also dining in was just so rude! He kept staring and making faces at my son, this man was sucking his teeth and kept telling my son to "shhhhh!!" He made comments under his breath and I was either going to explode or cry, maybe both🤷‍♀️but, we had a server named Maria and she was absolutely AMAZING! She asked the usual, how we were doing, what we'd like, etc. Then, she she got a little background on us, also told us a little about herself, and it just made us more at ease. After she walked away, this man continued to be oh so rude! When Maria came back to ask how we were doing, I finally mentioned what had been happening and she addressed it IMMEDIATELY! She came to our table to reassure us that it was taken care of and offered us a thousand apologies (none of which she owed). So if you see this review, I just want to say thank you again! My family and I genuinely appreciated the welcome and service we received! We will definitely be returning! 11/12/23: Have been here previously to this Flo's. Whenever we are in this area during breakfast/lunch time this is a spot my wife and I always come to for a bite to eat. Everything about this place is amazing. Has a wonderful small out of the way feel which always leads to a relaxing and super laidback atmosphere. We always have eaten outside due to temps the timed we have being nice and warm. The food is always top notch regardless of what we have. I suspect one could eat anything on the menu and be satsfied with the offering as you can tell the food is made with alot of care behind it. Always seem to have a really wide offerings of different fresh baked pie, during this visit I had a boysenberry and my wife had the millionaire. Food portions are ample. I can't imagine anyone would complain about the amount of food to eat when the plates are delivered. Place is always super clean. And the staff here is so amazingly friendly. When someone has a stereo typical thought about what a small town cafe where people go to on a regular basis to get really great food and incredible service? That is this place in reality. Always makes me feel a bit like I'm at the Double R in Twin Peaks. Whether you are local to this area or just say "passing through / by" via I10 early in the day or lunch time you would do well to hop off the 10 via a super easy detour to stop here for a meal, you won't be Dissapointed and safe to say, like Every time we come here, completed satisfied by the wonderful experience having a bite...

Have traversed the 79 thru Beaumont dozens of times. Many times I've passed by Flo's. Decided to stop by and see what this place was about! Cozy, clean, comfy, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. These are the first things that you'll notice. Loved the fact that there was no blaring piped in music, nor people on their cell phones. Just average folks enjoying a meal while actually socializing. I ordered a cup of the days soup which was chicken noodle soup. Seriously could've just eaten soup all day long! Made from scratch. Fresh chicken, veggies and a thick creamy base like grandma would've made. My burger came out. Piled with juicy bacon. The patty wasn't processed nor frozen. Freshly made. Topped with cheddar. And onion rings that weren't burnt or overly crispy, but just right. Haven't had such an enjoyable dining experience in decades! I wanted to scoff down my meal so quickly because the tastes were harmonious. Yet. I wanted to savor each bite. If your driving by. In the area. Or on the freeway near by. By all means. Stop by.
