Frank's Bakery - Gibaldi's Italian Bread — Restaurant in California

The blonde haired lady who works here doesn't know a thing about customer service. In fact, both my husband and my dad had negative experiences with her and will not go to this store any more. But, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and continued to go there and buy bread. She is rude, condescending, hostile and very unprofessional. She basically has a very big chip on her shoulder and brings it to work every day. Not one day that I went to buy from this store was she ever pleasant. She acts like she is doing the customer a favor rather than the reverse that she be happy to have the business. As a matter of fact, one day she told me that it was very busy and I said "that's great". She proceeded to say no, we want to be busy with the wholesale business(this was just after COVID 19 hit and restaurants were first closed). So, she basically said that the retail customers don't really matter. EVERY SALE MATTERS. And, it creates good positive loyalty in general. I have been in sales for over 15 years and every sale matters and how you treat all customers matters. IT ALL COMES...

This place is awful. Not only is their bread as hard as a brick but they’re the rudest establishment of any form I’ve ever been in. The woman working the counter told me to hurry up and choose what I was buying, asked repeatedly about where I parked and THEN HAD THE AUDACITY TO ASK ME TO TAKE MY MASK OFF. I’m sorry I triggered you snowflake. It’s a free country but thanks for making sure I never come back. Found this locally owned bakery when I was driving by and so happy I did! I’ve been back a few times since and every time right when you walk in the smell of sweet bread in the atmosphere is so delightful!

Personally, tried their dessert, pastries, rolls, and loaves. All are incredible.

The bread and pastries are incredible! Typically make my own bread and pastries at home because I have such a high bar, and this bakery out shines my perfect perfectionism! The bread is incredibly moist and delicious.
