Kings Drive In — Restaurant in California

We have an abundance of fast food places here, and there are countless Mom and pop burger stands like Root Beer King, Pops, etc. All on the east side of Bakersfield and they all have basically the same menu. Well this one is not much different other than the burger seemed to actually be crafted with care and everything about it was perfect. The bun was toasted crisp but not burnt, the bacon was perfect, not too much sauce (BBQ) and then it was wrapped perfectly. When I un wrapped it I wasn’t forced to deal with smashed soggy mess, it was like the picture showed. That’s not normal for any burger joint. It’s small has a drive tru and in Bakersfield having only an outdoor dining area is a bit of a drag since it’s so dang hot all he time. That’s why everyone just picks up and...

I used to like this place but since my last visit I will never go there again. I placed an order over the phone for pick up but when I went to pick it up the order came to more than what I had money so I asked him to remove a pastrami sandwich from my order, the guy freaked out started yelling at me saying he wasn't going to sell me any food at all and how he wasn't going to be able to sell it to any other customers and blah blah blah. Extremely rude and unprofessional establishment. What should have been done by the person taking the order, was to tell the customer the total order amount when the order is being placed, not when you go to pick up your food, it would have saved a lot of hassle and King's restaurant would still have me and my family...

This place is in the running for best wings in Bakersfield as far as I'm concerned! How the heck do they make the wings so tender?! The Buffalo sauce is traditional and perfect, my coworker says their lemon pepper is better than wingstop; I think these are the only two flavors they have. This place looks sketchy, the turn into the drive through is tight as frick, and they take a while to prepare your food ( BUT THIS MEANS THEY ARE ACTUALLY COOKING IT).
