Had a craving for some good Mexican food. We stopped at Old Town Mexican Cafe and will NEVER return. I left my glasses out in the truck so I asked our server if they serve Arroyos Compollo to which he said no. So I asked for a tostada with extra cheese and sour cream instead. What I received was a large dinner plate with a very small disc piled with lettuce, 3 chunks of tomato and exactly 6 shreds of cheese. I thought it was a joke and laughed in disbelief! My partners dinner looked great. Both of us were laughing at this plate of mine when I handed it back to our server. He was very gracious and understanding....pretty soon some idiot ass employee/server comes to our table explaining the tostada is just a tostada and only $2.99. I told him I had left my glasses out in the truck and was trying to just order a dinner they would have. He told me "Well guess you should have had your glasses! JUST SAYIN! IT'S ONLY $2.99!!" I flipped! Told him he was rude and I DIDN'T order based on the price. He continued to say "JUST SAYIN!!" Things got heated fast....I told him to bounce!! We paid our bill after our server removed the...
Read moreWas looking forward to flan for dessert. They placed the flan in front of me. 2nd bite, my mouth started bleeding and spit out glass shards. Very painful. I flagged down who I believe was the Owner or Manager who appeared unconcerned that I was bleeding profusely still spitting out glass shards. Her response was "oh, they broke a glass in the back". She gave me a bandaid be cause the glass shards cut my fingers while trying to pull out of mouth. Needless to say, I will never return and encourage my family and friends to stay away. I was also worried that my GI tract could end up butchered if I swallowed glass in the first bite. The lack of concern that the Staff showed is proof they don't care and are very careless in the back without giving thought to food safety and the safety of their Customers. My biggest regret is not reporting to the Health Dept. Another regret is choosing to dine there in the...
Read moreOur server had zero personality. Acted like she didn't want to be here. Ordered deep fried shrimp tacos and received grilled shrimp tacos instead. Shrimp was too chewy and I couldn't even eat them. The rice was incredibly salty and tasted awful. The only thing that was decent was the chips, salsa, and beans they served at the beginning of the meal. Now I remember why we haven't eaten here is so long. We won't be back.
As we paid for this mess of a meal we were asked if we enjoyed our meal. I said no and the cashier asked why and as I explained about the rice and shrimp, she clearly wasn't interested in hearing what I had to say. When I told her that I ordered the deep fried shrimp she told me that they don't serve that anymore. Wish our terrible server would have told me that ahead of time, but she obviously has no clue what...
