Blast 825 Brewery — Restaurant in Orcutt

I’ve been wanting to try this spot and I finally did. I was very disappointed , shocked and regretful for coming here. Sadly I gave this spot a try on my birthday and had the worst experience at a restaurant ever in my life coming here! The food was fine but the type of “customer service” I got was horrible. At first I had one waitress that was sweet and I feel like she was trying her best to be attentive but then ASHLEY was I guess “helping” her and when she came to my table she was so rude. She came to bring some drinks and left right away without saying anything . I was wanting to ask her if we can have some straws so I said excuse me and she continue to walk away acting like she couldn’t hear me! At first I was like okay she probably didn’t hear me but when I helped myself to go get some straws myself since it was in a spot that I was able to grab she comes back saying “I have your straws here.” She was very passive aggressive. That’s when I realized that she did hear me and chose to ignore me! She was horrible throughout the whole time me and my friends where there. She again came back to bring a second round of drinks and again no straws on her? But says “And I’ll bring you your straws right now”again in a (passive aggressive manner) Like if you know I’m going to ask for straws why not bring them along with the drinks and not be having us wait for them?? Plus what waitress doesn’t have straws on them? She was honestly the worse waitress I’ve ever came across with. She’s a joke and is an older woman acting like she’s 15 with that type of attitude. She was so rude and disrespectful if a manager reads this I hope he talks to her about her behavior. She definitely hates her job and takes it up on others I can only imagine how she treats her coworkers. Plus the service was very slow we ended up having to order two drinks at the same time for the reason that they kept on forgetting about us. I was very disappointed I’ve never felt the way I did that night at a restaurant. I rather go to a taco stand by the projects then ever...

Let me start out with I guess it's all the little things that adds up to the whole experience so bear with me. I called from the parking lot to get my name on the list for seats for 3. I was informed I need to be present to put my name on the list you can't call to get your name on the list even if you're just outside the door in the parking lot, so I went inside put my name on the list.

When called for seating we followed the hostess to a table that it already been occupied by other guests Oops simple mistake lack of communication amongst the hostesses. We were then seated at a table right next to the restroom entrance. Not the best seat in the house lol unless you're seeking the attention of everyone except your waiter.

I ordered a strawberry margarita Blended was informed they don't have blenders so I ordered an 805 which they were out of so I decided to drink water. I've been to 825 blast before in ordered a comfort Bowl which was amazing the presentation of the order was very nice. I had told my son about the Comfort Bowl and we ordered two. When they arrived at the table it was a disappointment the proportions were lacking there was a little gravy on it so I'd asked for more gravy the chicken strips were extra crispy burnt and it was smothered with a little bit too much corn not impressed. Gravy showed up 20 minutes later after we already finished our potatoes when asked how the food was I informed him that the presentation of the food was not what I expected although we ate it and we paid and I tipped, it was not the best trip I'd had there I will go back again I hope for...

My boyfriend is a Spacex employee and we temporarily moved from Florida to California so I still have my Florida license. We had been there a few times and the pub wasn't extraordinary but, the beer was good, the energy was pleasant and we would occasionally stop by on our way home from Santa Maria. Our last visit there, the bartender and manager gave me a hard time and accused me of having a fake ID. They scratched off some of the black bar on the back of it, a front clear corner and left a crease almost from all the bending they performed on it. They asked me if I had further identification and when I went to get my purse from the car, they wouldn't even look at it. I told them that a cop could come in and let them know that it was real and they told me they were going to refuse service to me and they could even legally confiscate my license if they thought it to be counterfeit, which they did. My boyfriend snatched the card from the manager and we left. My advice to you, if you're not from California and your license is a few years old like mine is, be cautious of the manager and bartenders who all of a sudden have a new ABC Liquor Book way of checking IDs. They told us that it's their new guideline but, when we asked to see it and prove to them that they were wrong, they "couldn't find it". They have a good selection of local beer but, the bar service is usually slow and the when we have eaten near the bar, our servers have definitely forgotten us...
