Panda Express — Restaurant in California

Update 01/02/2022: I hate going here but ended up going and not by my choice. Everyone in my party agreed with me that the food was bad. The noodles were stuck together and hard. They were super greasy and cold. This company is just getting cheaper and worse. Sure, Panda Xpress could blame it on Covid disrupting supply chain and distribution but the quality is worse then ever. Out of a hand full of fortune cookies one was missing the fortune. Another had the fortune strip half way out at the back fold. The worst one was soggy and could have been that the wrapper was ripped or opened and got wet with something; Very disgusting. I should have ( and wanted to) complained but the staff seemed like they don't care. While paying I asked for two cups and received one. I had to ask again for another cup and the employee had a frown on his face because I had to ask him again. I forgot to get some chop sticks and asked another employee for some and was promptly told they were out. Really, a Chinese restaurant running out of chop sticks?! She didn't even bother to look for some and seemed to me like she was lying. Employee attitude goes a long way and it may be that this crew was tired (since it was late afternoon) but they sure need more training in customer service.

If I could give one stars to this place I would and as you will see many other people have problems with this location. The manager here name is Laura and she is extremely unprofessional and rude. She should be fired. Honestly. And I never feel that way and I’ve experienced some pretty bad customer service prior to this. I don’t know how she even became a manager, if they don’t fire her then she severely needs more management training or something. And that’s only if Panda Express even offers that. If she already went through training then she just needs to be demoted back to a regular employee at the very least. Second major problem here which apparently is a common theme among the other reviewers here is that they give you extremely small portions and yes trust me they are small for the amount you pay. If you’ve been to other Chinese food places or even other Panda Express’s you would definitely notice the difference. Or maybe your someone they know, like another reviewer mentioned, and they might actually give you a normal size portion. But this all leads back to...

Placed pick-up orders here on 3 different occasions. Twice I called twice and nobody answered the phone, third was online. I get there in the time they told me it would be ready and it never was, I dont believe they even started cooking it. The last time I told them twice I was there waiting and they forgot, 30 minutes later (45 minutes after the food was supposed to be done) another girl comes out and asks me "what are you waiting for again?" The bags had been sitting on the table for over 20 minutes, nobody else was around. Get home and the food was you guessed it, cold.
