This experience definitely warrants a review.

I placed an order through the Pizza Hut app and chose “pay in store.” I drove 15 miles to the California, MO location, walked in, and stood at the counter for over five minutes—completely unacknowledged. An employee stood less than five feet away, boxing pizzas (mine, as it turned out), but never made eye contact or said a word. Once she finished, she simply stood there… staring at the wall. No greeting, no “I’ll be right with you,” nothing.

Another employee finally walked up from the back and stood at the opposite register, looked around aimlessly, and also said nothing. I finally had to initiate the conversation and ask to pay for my order. He called out the other employee’s name, and only then did she finally hand me the pizzas and take payment—again, without saying a single word. No total, no thank you, not even a “have a nice day.”

As for the pizzas: they had so much potential, and they completely flopped. Both were soggy and noticeably undercooked—blonde crusts with no crisp, no chew. If I didn’t have garlic butter and an air fryer at home, I would’ve turned right around. Thankfully, a little at-home intervention turned them into something halfway decent.

But between the cold, indifferent service and the half-baked food, I can honestly say I won’t be back. When you’re the only customer in a small-town Pizza Hut at 7 PM on a Saturday—and no one even acknowledges you—that says everything.

This is the worst pizza hut ever, the first two times I went in, it was more that 15 minutes before I was even acknowledged, and bot times there was less the 5 customers in the place, the third and final time I was there, the food was dry and old, the salad bar had old slimy vegetables and the one server was so distracted she couldn't hardly finish a sentence, and when it was time to pay, she ignored us twice to continue speaking with a friend of hers that didn't even come in to eat or pick anything up, I will never go back and neither will any of my guys, not when there are much better places next door to them. I only wish I had gotten my $52 back i wasted on trying to feed my guys lunch, that none of them finished cus...

Last dine-in visit was horrible. Staff spent all their time talking not caring about customers. We waited for over 15 minutes just for our drinks while the 2 waitresses gossiped . My daughter finally told the night manager of the issue and he absolutely didn't care. Their pizza is not that great... and now with terrible staffing it makes the experience even worse. I did order pizza for a staff training last week ONLY because we needed something easy. They were ready when they promised AND they were good for the quality you get at the Hut. So kudos to the gentleman who fixed those! Normally we will go Casey's pizza all way but it has been bad during...
