Found this place on Google after a poetry event nearby. My rule of thumb for new pizza places is always get the margherita because it's a simple pizza. I liked it except the sauce had no flavor and there were sliced tomatoes on top. Being from Napoli, i expected I would get something close to what I typically from a Napolitean pizzeria. No judgement here since Venice is one of the few cities I haven't visited yet and maybe that's the way they make their margherita? A family member got the Funghi (mushroom) pizza and out of either of those I really liked the Funghi pizza. But the star of this meal was the Brussels sprouts with the Korean sauce. I'm a pepperoni fan but I've never had pepperoni quite as good as they do it, aged properly which allows it to bring the most incredible flavor. Drink selection may feel a little bit limited as there's no fountain but they have delicious iced teas and lemonades available. I first discovered Pizza of Venice at the Altadena Farmer's Market. At the Farmer's Market, the pizzas are cooked in an old fashioned barrel bar-be-que pit. It is really a treat.
