I was passing through Altadena hungry and just happened to see this establishment. Pulled in and found parking behind the building. Very nicely decorated interior. Friendly staff. It was about 1030 am so I decided on a Machaca Breakfast burrito (my favorite breakfast burrito) I had to ask for beans and cheese to be added. My usual spot usually has these 2 favorites as included ingredients. Then had to wait because their calculator wasn’t working correctly. Then was called back to the counter to find out the burrito was over $10?? I looked up to see prices and there weren’t any listed. Didn’t think much of it until I was given my food. Disappointment filled my eyes because this thing looked like a child portion-sized burrito. Not what I’ve been spoiled with from my usual spot. So I told myself, “Self, don’t judge a book by its cover. This is probably one tasty morsel. One word can describe my experience...BLAND. No flavor, not from the egg, beans or cheese. My grandmother had better food puréed in her nursing home. Good thing I asked for both the red and green salsa. The green gave the burrito flavor and the red added spice. I left this place hungry and disappointed. Won’t be returning. Over priced for what I ordered and tasteless. 2 out of 10 stars or as in this review 1 out of five. Now I need to find some place to ease my...
Read moreThis is a decent, but not outstanding, little Mexican place that doesn't get as much business as it looks like it needs to survive. I agree with many other reviewers tht the place is clean, and the staff is always friendly. But the prices are on the high side and the food quality depends significantly on what you order. The tortilla chips were fried a bit too long for my tastes, and I never found a salsa that I liked. Both my wife and son got asada burritos and really liked them. I got a combination platter with a taco and an enchilada. The chicken taco was okay, but the shredded beef enchilada was delicious - especially with the rice and beans. I would...
Read moreHi , sorry the 3 stars are for the server. She has attitude ( not sure if she ) is the owner too. I know i asked few questions, but still....she isn't friendly and it comes across like that. But i like the other server , that worked there few years ago , she was very nice. The food was good but for 5.00 queso birria tacos, hardly no meat inside. And the fries were soggy ( not cooked good ) I love the interior of the restaurant , it's very cute. But not the servers attitude. I wasn't going to leave a tip ( but did anyway ). But the food does look good in the photos , and most...
