Playa Maya — Restaurant in California

I dont usually dont rate this low, but man. We went with a couple of friends since it was suggested. When we got there there was no parking had to park in the jack in box parking lot. There are bums all around. We decide to give it a shot despite that. We walked in around 9:40. No one was there, just two other couples eating. We ordered, and it took longer than 30 minutes even though it wasn't busy. The girls asked for blended drinks, and they said they couldn't do that. No reason why? We ordered food, and they brought out three wrong dishes. I had ordered red enchiladas, and they came out with green. Said they didn't have green. From a group of six, i was the only one with a plate. The rest came after a couple of minutes, and we had to ask for utensils. My friend ordered sushi and mentioned it was warm. Ordered the molcajete and I really had high expectations unfortunately the flavors were bland and the meat had a fridge taste, all of it, the chorizo, the steak and chicken, meat was not fresh definitely. For 45 dollars I was expecting something better. We also ordered the Cadillac margarita but I could not find the Cadillac on it, it was just an over price margarita with cheap tequila same goes for the passion fruit margarita, just over priced without flavor. Service was just ok, we waited for a while to get our food and then to get the check we had to stand by the door and ask for it there because our server never came back to check on us after a couple of times. Banda was good, but the place is really small so you can just imagine how loud it got, but...

I arrived after lunch hour. they have booths, tables, and a bar. 4 t.v.s with sports televised. the young lady took my order with no issues. ( btw..... super cute) food was out in 10 minutes. I ordered the green enchiladas. all was good. average plate. I'm guessing the seafood is more popular. I'll try that selection next visit. I also ordered a fresh water. cucumber and lime. I added extra lime. delicious 😋 it's across from a truck stop. walked over thinking it was a smoke shop or tattoo parler. 🤣 warehouse workers, it's a great spot to do lunch. or a dinner spot to wait out traffic. live music on Fridays and Saturdays. call ahead for info. good people, good food, good...
