This experience was so disappointing it deserves a warning. I stopped by Qdoba at John Wayne Airport expecting a quick, satisfying meal before my flight. Instead, I got a culinary disaster. First off—no queso. At Qdoba. That’s like McDonald’s saying they’re out of ground beef. It’s their signature item, and the staff didn’t even offer an apology or alternative. Just a shrug and a “we’re out.” Not exactly confidence-inspiring. Then came the burrito. I’ve had my fair share of airport food, but this was hands-down the runniest, sloppiest burrito I’ve ever encountered. It was like they blended the ingredients and poured them into a tortilla. The whole thing fell apart in seconds, leaking mystery sauce all over the tray. Flavor? Barely there. Texture? Disgusting. Presentation? Nonexistent. For $20, I expected at least a decent meal. What I got was a soggy mess and a stomachache. Save your money and grab a granola bar from the newsstand instead. This Qdoba location is a disgrace to the brand.

Tldr - get chipotle on the way in. This copycat is a rip-off. I ordered a chicken burrito and chicken protein bowl. The bowl was half the size of what the picture looked like, and the food was cold and lacked any attempt at looking fresh - from the aged salad to the cold meat. The burrito was mainly rice and beans - the extra quac was stuffed on the bottom - no thought in how someone might like to eat it. I've had Qdoba in Seattle, so perhaps this was a staff issue. The staff seemed less than enthusiastic being there, and it showed in the product served. The only saving grace is the nice seating area that the airport provides.

Hadn't had Qdoba in awhile so decided to get a steak bowl while at the airport. Last time I had Qdoba was maybe a year or two back at Sea-tac airport. The experience is completely different. Kiosk order only. Couldn't order with a person. Asked for a tortilla on the side and the staff said I had to order it (not sure if I missed it on the kiosk). Portions are super small here, but the overall experience to customize the bowl is lost with kiosk ordering. Completely different from the Sea-Tac location. Seating is available and shared with other restaurants.

Easy to order, which was good. There were tablets where you select what you wanted.

However, we had waited 30 minutes for our 2 bowls we ordered. I understand that things are busy especially with not many people working, but please get the orders correct.

We had two separate create your own bowls, and they completely messed up our order. It was pretty clear what to put, and not put in it - but it seems like they just added everything to each of the bowls.

For example, one was an only chicken bowl, and one was a steak and chicken bowl. Steak found its way into both bowls. Requested queso in one, quac in the other one. Somehow queso and quac were in both bowls. One only had lettuce for vegetables, but both had a wide variety of vegetables and other additional items.

On top of that, one was strangely smaller in portion size than the other.

Overall it was just a very disappointing experience, everything was messed up and on top of the long wait it was just not great. We paid for extra food and to get none of it and everything messed up it is just not okay. Please pay more attention to...

It was 10:15 am and I approached the kiosk which is right in front of the counter of this restaurant. I ordered breakfast with the understanding that they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30. At 10:25 an employee called my name and told me that they stopped serving breakfast so they could switch over to lunch. I told him that I placed my order at 10:15. The employee said he was sorry and that he could refund my money or I could change my order to lunch. I asked to speak to the manager and the employee said he was the manager. I told him that this was poor service. I pointed to their sign that said breakfast was available until 10:30. Not only can I not get breakfast from your restaurant, since the time is 10:25, I won't have enough time to find another restaurant to serve me breakfast because they all stop serving breakfast at 10:30. I was really disappointed and the manager didn't seem to care. I won't be going back to...
