Don't waste your time if ordering online.... It was my first time there so I wasn't sure how things worked. I placed and paid for my order online. When I arrived there were about five people in line, but the sign on the door said for online orders to go to the counter. The place is pretty small and the line in front of the counter made it confusing where to stand. So, I went to the register and waited at the counter while the cashier who appeared to be the owner took someone's order. He never made eye contact with me or spoke to me even though it was clear I was waiting for help, but didn't want to interrupt. After waiting for him to take another persons order and still being ignored, I asked a lady returning to the kitchen for my online order and said it was already paid for. She responded with "I know." Then she grabbed my order and told me to have a nice day. Not once did the man behind the counter acknowledge me or look at me. If I hadn't stopped the lady, who knows how long before someone acknowledged my presence. I'm not the kind of person to cut in line or disrespect anyone and have no problem waiting my turn. I felt very uncomfortable and out of place all for ordering and paying ahead of time. I won't...
Read moreWent to Rim's Deli after finding it on Yelp. It was around 2pm and we had just got done fishing at the river all morning. We were hot, sweaty and hungry and I can tell you Rim's was the perfect spot to cure all that ailed me. I ordered the #3, a mortadella and provolone on a roll. The bread was fresh, mortadella sliced thin and piled high. It was delicious... especial after dousing it with a decent about of their Italian dressing and some yellow mustard. The soda I order, diet coke, was cold and hit the spot. But if you was a craft root beer or orange cream soda, they have plenty of those craft type sodas to choose from as well. The price was right for what you get and absolutely delicious. The sandwich chains don't have anything on Rim's. Oh one last thing, I was amazed by the staffs ability to stay busy. There was several young adults that kept busy the entire time, most notably when there were no customers to help. I really appreciated that as a retail manager myself. Anyway, if you in the mood for a good deli style sandwich and good service, give...
Read moreFair Oaks has no shortage of places to grab a sandwich, but Rim’s Deli is in a league of its own. If you know, you know. And if you don’t? It’s time to change that.
I’m a creature of habit when it comes to sandwiches—turkey with sprouts, tomato, light onion, mayo, and provolone—and Rim’s nails it every single time. Fresh ingredients, perfectly layered, and that just-right ratio of bread to filling that makes every bite satisfying. Oh, and let’s talk about the bread. Soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together. No sad, falling-apart sandwiches here.
Pro tip: Order online to dodge the lunch rush. This place gets busy, and for good reason. They have an impressive lineup of drinks, chips, and sides (hello, soup of the day), and every sandwich comes with a crunchy, deli-style pickle that seals the deal.
It’s the kind of spot that feels like an old-school neighborhood staple—the kind of place where they remember your order if you come in enough. So, whether you’re a sandwich purist or someone who likes to mix it up, Rim’s has you covered....
