Rise + Shine Coffee Shop — Restaurant in California

I've been here a couple of times for a midday caffeine fix. The first time was during the holidays. The drink menu has a lot of choices and I wasn't sure what to get. And I was so tired that I couldn't think super straight. Lol. So the very nice cashier asked me a couple questions, and then another girl jumped in with the suggestion of the peppermint cold brew (I think it was called, anyway!). It was just what I needed. Including the friendly service. Just what I needed! And yummy.

The second time I came was last week. I didn't know their hours, I just saw the open sign. Felt bad because I realized as I read the sign walking in that they were closing in just a few minutes. But the attendant was very nice and assured me it was totally fine. Again, I wasn't sure what to order, but she helped me land on the lavender + wildflower latte. It was good, too!

I live up the hill near Julian, so I look forward to a little treat when I come down once a week to do my laborious "circus run" for groceries and supplies. This place is now on my list for scheduled stops. Yeah it costs a bit more than coffee I can make at home, but I do enjoy the flavors, convenience, atmosphere (really cute and inviting inside), but especially the customer service. As a business owner, I know how much better a business is when you have a great team that is made up of pleasant and helpful people. So, I'm more than happy to support this business.

Wow! I’m a bit newer to the Ramona area and desired to have a latte. I just experienced one of the best lattes I’ve had in a long time. Top grade espresso beans and I got it made with pistachio milk, which made it even more epic! I stayed for a couple of hours reading and then decided to get a smoothie. The smoothie was so so good. The thing that was most important for me was the atmosphere just felt so warm and loving. And it was actually the owner, Chelsea, that was there working. She was kind & welcoming. I wish I could give this a lower rating, just got the worst smoothie I have ever had in my entire life. The ones I make at home are 10/10 compared to this. And so F-ing expensive for no reason you are literally paying for the aesthetic that’s it. I hate how the only 5 stars are from certain people who think it’s “cute” but don’t know what a smoothie is supposed to taste like. The taste is just powder and water with blended dates. I feel robbed but the worst part is I willingly payed for it expecting for it to taste good but it was quite the opposite.
