I just got off the phone with Roger, the Round Table Pizza manager of the Madison Ave. Fair Oaks, CA address and have to say that I was appalled at his lack of professional courtesy and service. The kid who answered the phone (Trevor) was not any better. Here's my situation. After receiving an extra-large pizza with a thin crust in April, I called the store to explain that I had ordered a regular, thicker crust - the assistant manager stated I would be put on the VIP list for a free pizza anytime in the future. So, I just called asking for the free pizza and was told by Trevor that my name wasn't on any list and that if I purchased it more than 3 months ago, it would be null and void. He went on to say that there was nothing he could do. I couldn't remember how many months it had been and didn't have a file # that he requested either. I then asked for Roger the manager, who told me the same thing, that because of a corp. change to 3 months, he could do nothing about it. He stated that the previous manager threw away all of the VIP lists and that they had no record of me at all anywhere! He went on to say that the extra large pizza does not come with a thin crust at which point, I reiterated that that was the problem in the first place. Even after telling him that when I initially called, the asst. mgr apologized and stated that the pizza crust person had the lever on the wrong size (I don’t know the mechanics of it), he acted as though I was lying. When I told him that we've been buying pizzas there for 30+ years, he looked up my name FOR THE 3RD TIME and miraculously found the April order - wow. Begrudgingly, he then told me I could have a free pizza and asked what I wanted. I told him the same order as April and when I told him the ½ pineapple pizza had cold tomatoes on top, he immediately told me that it didn't come with tomatoes (which I already knew and had ordered previously). At that point, I had had enough of the push-back and hostility and blew up and told him that given their lack of customer service, they would probably spit on my pizza and that I would never order from them again and said goodbye. I couldn't believe it ... and still can't. I had never received a free pizza before and was an innocent customer looking to be assisted with the process, not to be shamed into feeling like I was lying or just wanting a free pizza just because. My God, what is wrong with you people?! That experience left me wondering just how you two could have ever been hired by a reputable, national company in the first place?? How, just how?? If those two employees are the gold standard for customer service nowadays at Round...
Read moreThis review is being left on 3-25-25 at 340pm. The owners of this location should be ashamed of themselves. I walk in, have to wait 15 mins before the employee comes in from the back to take my order. An order I placed 20 mins ago. I was told it would take 25 mins when placing the order so I get there a few mins early to settle up. When I tell them I'm here to pick up, I'm told she is the only employee on hand at the moment. The only friggin employee!!! There is a huge party going on, a few people sat eating their food and she's doing it all by herself. I joke "are you guys hiring" and she said NO. Then she apologizes when she informs me that it's going to be another 20 mins as she hasn't even had a chance to start on my order. I felt so bad for her. And it makes the next part of my review kinda pointless bc it smells off in here. Like instead of cleaning the location like you normally would they use one industrial chemical bc every part of the location has this odd chemical smell. And it doesn't smell like cleaning chemicals that I've ever used. Since I've arrived, two other employees have come in so I guess there is that. But I couldn't believe what I was seeing. They open at 11 am and this one employee was on her own until almost 4pm. I want to ding them on their dirty tables and messy floors but when the heck was this one employee supposed to clean!?...
Read moreThe new management has made a turn for the worst! We are now in search of a new family pizza spot. My family and I have been going here about once a month for a while now. We always loved it. New management came in and bought a bunch of TVs and slapped on a new coat of paint. Great. Whatever they did staffing wise is Horrible! The service is bad, rude and very slow. The person conversations they have never suffer though. I'm sorry my patronage at the place you are employed is such a burden. Tonight I had to ask for everything and got a lot of attitude in return. When I asked for some clean plates I was told "I'll check, we are all busy making pizzas and don't have time to do dishes". I sure that comment had something to do with the fact that I had asked multiple time if the were going to make anything that wasn't spicy. When I informed her my kids were eating off napkins she huffed and brought out 2 plates. Myself and many others customers had to move dirty dishes and wipe tables with napkins because half the tables were full of dirty dishes. Not once in the hour and a half that we were there did I see anyone...
