If you enjoy Thai food and being treated like you are doing a business owner a favor, and paying money for that honor, then this is THE place for you. Wish I could say that all that went wrong was made up for by "some really tasty food" or "a generous discount on the bill", but that didn't happen here. First I think they don't have a phone. I called 7 times on a Monday (Feb 8, 2016) evening during business hours and no one answered. It was on my way home so I stopped by, to hopefully get some food or confirm it had closed for good. They were open and not busy. I ordered egg rolls, a salad and some other dish that was forgettable. The response: "be ready in 15 or 20 minutes" VERBATIM. I went to Target to grab some stuff and came back in less than 15 mins, food not ready. I sat down at a chair by the door and checked FB, played some games, deleted emails and looked at my calendar for the next three weeks. Food not ready. About 30 minutes into the wait the host (and owner apparently) looked at me and said it will be "a few more minutes". It wasn't. I resumed trying to find some entertainment on my phone and every time I heard the crinkle of plastic bags being filled I looked up. Disappointed every time, it wasn't my order. 45 minutes into the wait she calls my name and says it ready. I arise and hand her my card as she hands me the tray with some random amount of charges on it, no detailed bill. At this point, I'm just hungry and my wife is wondering where I am. As I'm signing the charge skip I say to the host/owner, "I'm disappointed that it took 45 mins to get an order that you said would be done in 15-20". She says "Sorry, big order ahead of yours". I said "then you should not have given me some a short time estimate". Her: "sorry", and back to whatever she was doing. The place is empty now, having closed and every customer left before I got my order. Handed her the signed charge slip and said thank you. She ignored me. I said "this is where you say 'thank you' to me". She ignored me. I said "what's the deal? You're miffed at me because I was critical about the most horribly inaccurate time estimate?" She said "it was the way you said it". I said "you're delusional...I'm justified in being upset at waiting 150% longer than you told me it would take, and you're mad at me?" She continued to ignore me, which was probably wise. So I left. I thought on this experience for 6 days and decided I had to share. It is just one customer's experience, your's will likely be different but just be aware there is a history and you could be the next victim. I won't ever go back...even if the apocalypse happened and the only way to save my 11 month old baby girl was to feed her pad thai (mild spicy), I would not scavenge food...

Thai is normally, for me is never on the menu. I had really bad experience with Thai food. So when my wife picked this place I was hesitant at first. But man oh man….This place is amazing. The food was phenomenal. I would most definitely try the chicken dumplings for sure especially with the soy sauce (highly recommend that). Vegetarian eggs rolls are a must. Next we moved on to Tum Yum soup (if your alone I would not recommend the large size) which was absolutely delicious 🤤. It was flavorful had a kick to it and packed with a lot of veggies. Lastly the basil fried rice, I wasn’t particularly happy with that dish. However after adding the soy sauce from the dumplings made a huge difference to my taste buds (highly recommend that. Which was suggested by the young lady at the front). Overall the food and service was phenomenal.

The restaurant itself is very tiny and I would suggest, either go late (weekdays preferred) at night or I’d probably do take out which to me seems like a better option. The decor was neutral nothing to special. Parking is pretty bad and can be hard to find. And if this is your first time going I’d go during the day not night. With the flow of traffic this place can be hard to find.

Overall this place has great 🍲 🍱 🥘. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. I most definitely 💯 recommend...

Food was average and service TERRIBLE!!! There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant and it was packed during the lunch rush hour. I had a take out order and I understood that I had to be patient. 40 minutes later, I asked the waitress if the take out boxes on the counter were mine and she ignored me and didn't answer. I noticed some people who came after me were already served their meals. I finally got the waitress' attention and she said to me that my food wasn't ready. I finally told her that I had to leave (I was late for work!) She made me pay in advance so I couldn't just leave without my money back. It was then when the waitress grabbed the same boxes that I was pointing at 10 minutes earlier and put them in a bag and gave them to me. I didn't even want to argue. I wanted to leave and never return. If you want to save yourself a headache go to another place. There are plenty of Thai restaurants in Sacramento and in my opinion, this is not one of...

Change of ownership does NOT mean change of quality at Tasty Thai! It's been over a year since my last visit and I am thrilled that everything is still exceptional! I arrived at 2:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't busy so my food came out quickly. Service was excellent. I ordered the pad Thai with vegetables and it was so good I ate the whole thing! I was expecting to eat half and have some later but it was so good I couldn't stop myself! Cabbage, green onions, broccoli, green beans, carrots and bean sprouts rounded out the veggies. Squeezing the lime takes it over the top delicious! The lime adds such a wonderful acidity and deepens the flavor. I will savor this pleasureable food experience until the next time and it will be soon! I'm so looking forward to coming back!
