Yo! This place though! From the second you walk in you can feel the love and care that goes into every part of this cultural eating experience. The decorations are beautiful; Embroidered soft cushioned matching chairs and booths placed neatly under paintings of their home land and the places they hold near and dear Interesting items placed neatly the walls, mixed with huge traditional serving plates you can tell each have stories behind them showing they have history cooking these recipes. And let me talk about these recipes. The flavor is amazing. You will not find this combination of flavors in many other places. Everything was fresh and unique with great presentation. The staff was very kind and helpful I had never had Palestinian food so I asked for suggestions and everything suggested was incredible. It's a great place to bring a date because they present a really refreshing exotic experience, my wife loved it too. The owner Muhammed came to our table and thanked us for coming he was so nice. My wife and I were visiting but if you live here or visiting you need to try this place or make it your regular because this place has so much to offer. Treat yourself don't cheat...

Wow! I was so blown away by the service and the quality of food at Basha! It was my first time here and my sister and brother in laws 2nd or 3rd time. Im so glad they brought me here! I tried the Maqluba and it was packed with flavor, the rice was fluffy and with the spices and little sauce it was exactly like a taste of Jerusalem. I loved it. The chicken was flavorful as everything is cooked together. My tummy was happy. They bring you bread and olive oil and Qatar with olives and the olive oil and zaatar on the freshly made fluffy bread was delicious! I couldn't stop eating it. My brother in law ordered lamb chops and I tried one and they were also full of flavor and had a nice char flavor to them as well. They gave us a complimentary salad, I believe it was fatuous and again I was blown away! Everything was so delicious! We also ordered dessert and I got a kanafeh. It was perfect as well! nice flavor nice crispy phyllo dough on top and the sweet cheese underneath. loved it! The staff was verrryy friendly and came to talk to us and made us feel like we were part of their family. I had a great experience and can't...

They started with a nice array of bread, olives, oil, and herbs. The bread is so comforting. Then they bring out a pitcher of lemon and mint water with the waters, which is so considerate and pragmatic. No need to request more water. Cloth napkins, and stout silverware round out the place setting atop a clean tablecloth.

While I awaited my dish, I took in the decor, which is exceptionally clean, and beautiful to behold. Lapis velvet adorns the backs of the chairs and booths, and it is clean and soft. There's a lot of pride self evident in a glance around. It's so clean that when I spilt a bit of food I felt some shame and embarrassment for making any mess! I didn't understand the music, as I don't speak the language, but I still dug the vibe. What a beautiful atmosphere in which to dine.

I had the lunch chicken basha wrap. It comes with seasoned fries and two sauces. I devoured my shawarma. I ate it over my fries, which I drizzled with my remaining sauce. The bits of shawarma and sauce made for an impromptu loaded fries. After I cleaned my plate, warbat for dessert, a bit more water, and a happy...

I recently visited Basha Taste of Jerusalem in Sacramento, CA and I was blown away by the food and service. The falafel wraps were absolutely delicious - filled with flavorful falafel balls, fresh veggies, and a tangy sauce. But the real standout for me were the fries - they were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and so addictive. The location is very convenient in the Arden area, and there was plenty of parking available. But what really made the experience special was the amazing manager, Mohammad. He went out of his way to make sure that every customer was happy and satisfied. His friendly and attentive service really made the visit memorable. Overall, I highly recommend Basha Taste of Jerusalem to anyone looking for delicious Middle Eastern food and great service. The falafel wraps and fries are a must-try, and you'll be in good hands with Mohammad and his team. Can't wait to go back!

Delicious!!! I called to place a pick-up order. I asked the person on the phone for suggestions. She said Maqluba (Upside-Down Chicken & Rice) was the most famous and traditional dish. It was flavorful. Along with rice and chicken, there were some potato slices, cauliflower, and pine nuts. My mouth is watering as I recall the meal. I paid about $44 for a large tray of maqluba to-go. It was plenty for 3 adults to have heaping servings. The restaurant is impressive: low lighting, crisp white table linens, lovely decor, and blue&white fabric chairs. It made me think it could be for a special date night. I saw families enjoying their meal with their children and thought I could come back sooner without needing a sitter. It’s so pretty. The staff I interacted with were kind & helpful. This was the first time I tried Palestinian cuisine and I look forward to trying more.

Occupying the space formerly "Marakesh" is a similar theme but refreshed decor and more tables with chairs. It feels authentic and the food was quite good in generous quantity. The server was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the experience very much. I do take issue with three add on fees we only discovered later at home, a "Non-Cash Credit Card Fee" of over 3% which I imagine is to offset the Merchant Fee they pay to accept cards. This fee very likely violates their agreement with the processor and definitely violates my trust. Offer a "Cash" discount if you like, but don't sneak in this fee at the end. There is also a "Warbat" fee that must have been for the glass of warm water and an "Open Item" fee of $3 that I can only assume was for the to-go spice we were offered. These "fees" cost you two stars and discourages future visits.
