The Blind Pig — Restaurant in California

I had a bad experience before ever entering. I wasn't having a good day to start with. Left something in my car that was expensive so I was checking my doors, drivers side and back door. If I actually checked the door next to me I don't recall. I do have a disability so I had my placard displayed. Now I'm ready for a beer as I approach three men are standing outside. 1st man said are you disabled because you just parked in the handicap section. I replied yes I am. I have a disability. The next question was why were you trying to open our friends truck. I looked back to see who I was parked next to. I don't remember but it's possible. I'm thinking I should leave, had a cigarette in that time another man walks out and said we have 5 cameras around here I said good to know , everyone in here saw you try to open our friends car. I said was I peering through the window. I walked in and took a seat at the bar. I ordered a shot he delivered it with my card ran and closed me out. I said well I was going to order a beer. Ordered my beer, than 4 girls walked in together and they received their drinks before my beer. Will never go there again back to my neighborhood bar. My bartender was Male and he was bland. Was excited to try this bar out with my friend but when we walked in and sat down, we were condescended about our age by the female bartener and continued to do so by filling our glasses with juice when I ordered a mixed drink, literally no alcohol.(now I know she's just that person and most people that come here don't like her). Then when me and my friend decided to pick another bar down the street to hopefully have a better time at, as we were signing our receipts (no tip obviously) the bartender snidely commented "oh well they just drink and run huh?". Hands down the worst bartender I've ever encountered, I'm baffled she even has a job at all. I was told that this place has a much better atmosphere when the male bartender is there and it's totally true. After a year or so I went back with a different friend and it was like a completely different place when the guy bartender was there. This is sad. We’ve seen this place go through multiple ownerships, and I’ve been coming here for over 15 years. And I am sad to sad to say that I will be never step foot in this place again.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My friend and I came in expecting a good time, but what we got was blatant discrimination. The bartender, Ashley, openly overcharged us while handing out free drinks to Caucasian patrons right in front of us. When we questioned the charges, she was dismissive and rude. It was beyond clear that we were being treated differently because of our race.

No one should have to experience this kind of treatment in 2025. If you value fairness, respect, and basic human decency, take your money elsewhere. This bar should be ashamed of the behavior they allow behind...
