The Brightside — Restaurant in California

Los Osos local. This is my honest review, I apologize if it comes off rude. This review is about their pizza. This business does good things for the community, so perhaps try some of their other menu items. I purchased two large pizzas out the door, including a 6-dollar tip, above 55 dollars. The staff were friendly, but the ordering experience online was a bit clunky. The pizza was plain. It was dry, had little sauce, and lacked a full flavor. It is a thinner crust pizza, which was very chewy and once again lacked flavor. The topping placement was good and had enough. The cheese was thin on the pizza. My main complaint was the blandness and just overall taste. Maybe I got a fluke order, but with the price point, I won't be ordering pizza here again. We had a party of 4, and it was a 0/4 in favor. I absolutely adore this place and I'm so glad to live close by. I normally struggle with pizza as places tend to make it too greasy or cheesy which just makes me straight up ill but Brightside never fails to make the perfect pizza with little grease and the perfect amount of cheese. Every other pizza place in this town is just straight up terrible so I'm so glad to finally have a place with good comfort food. Also whoever was saying their wings aren't good clearly have zero tastebuds cause every time I've had the wings here, which I might add is nearly every time I get something here, they have been phenomenal. Not dry or like chalk like B-Dubs are 🙄 The Honey BBQ are the go to, so amazing! Finally got to try out Brightside pizza, and was not disappointed! Want to start out by saying the gentlemen helping me (going to guess owner?) was over the top nice! Just great and friendly customer service.

So the pizza, has a great taste, dough wasn't too soft (had a good texture), and the toppings were spot on. And, it's not loaded with sauce (which I personally don't like) so that was a huge plus for me, and those who don't like too much sauce.

My only complaint is this. There needs to be bigger chunks of their sausage! The sausage truly has a good taste, and needs more of it! As you can see they are not stingy with it, but bigger pieces would be awesome! Do want to add, I like the names for the pizzas. Lol
