My husband and I decided to visit Yokoso, a charming coffee shop conveniently located near our Airbnb. As soon as we stepped inside, we were enveloped by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home. The soft lighting and cozy seating arrangements created a perfect backdrop for enjoying a leisurely coffee break. The staff members radiated friendliness and positivity, adding to the welcoming vibe of the place.
During our time there, we had the pleasure of meeting four wonderful employees: David, Alanna, Christine, and Michael. After placing our orders for a matcha latte and a vanilla latte, they graciously took a moment to chat with us. Their enthusiasm and passion for coffee, paired with their personal stories, made the experience even more enriching and memorable. It was delightful to connect with them on a deeper level, and their genuine warmth left a lasting impression.
For our drinks, my husbandopted for a lukewarm matcha latte made with whole milk and just the right amount of sweetness, while I chose a vanilla latte crafted with creamy oat milk. The matcha latte was nothing short of perfection—the vibrant green color was a feast for the eyes, and its rich, earthy flavor was both soothing and invigorating. Meanwhile, the vanilla latte struck a perfect balance of richness, with its bold espresso notes harmoniously mingling with just the right level of sweetness.
To complement our drinks, we treated ourselves to a slice of matcha pound cake. Its texture was incredibly fluffy and tender, while the matcha flavor was robust and delightful, with a gentle hint of sweetness that made each bite a pleasure.
If only we lived closer, we would undoubtedly make Yokoso a regular stop in our lives. This delightful coffee shop has truly set a high bar for our future coffee adventures. A heartfelt thank you to David, Alanna, Christine, and Michael for their exceptional service and for making our visit so special! Without a doubt, we would enthusiastically recommend this gem to our friends, family, and even strangers looking for an extraordinary...
Read moreMy immediate family and I had the privilege of visiting Yokoso Coffee while attending my daughter's graduation in mid-June. As die-hard matcha aficionados, the group (including my father, who hails from a tea-growing region in Japan), was not disappointed! Sweetened and unsweetened alike, everyone remarked how well-balanced their drinks were. No clumps or excess sediment here! I opted for a pour-over and appreciated the coffee's clarity and flavor. I use a Hario V60 as my daily driver and am now convinced I must be doing something wrong.
Because we dined in we were able to relax and appreciate the cheery atmosphere that included Japanese wall art and ceramics. We also enjoyed their top-notch baked goods from Rise & Shine, a local bakery that shares Yokoso's kitchen. Among the eight of us, we tried a broad array of pastries and enjoyed them all. The cheddar, bacon, and chive scone and the gluten-free blackberry, orange & almond muffin (pictured) were standouts.
Nevertheless, it were owners Michael & Christine along with their daughter Alanna's warm hospitality that tied everything together. We never felt rushed and enjoyed the time Michael took from the busy operation to chat, including a tour of the shop for my parents.
We look forward to our next visit and whole-heartedly recommend Yokoso for a...

They have an amazing baker who will entice you with both savory and sweet items, making it difficult to pick just one. They have a gluten free Green Tea Macha treat that will make you get up early just to be sure they don't run out before you arrive. And don't get me started on the Espresso Chocolate Chip scone, it was so moist that it turned me from a scone hater to a scone lover! Everything is made fresh each morning and oh my goodness! If you only have time for something to go or need to stop and chill for a while, this will become your go to place after...
