Wa-Me Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in California

I ordered from Wame not realizing they changed hands and it was a big mistake. The food was absolutely terrible. Poor quality ingredients and items tasted old/stale.

The other issue was delivery - instead of using Doordash as I normally do, I went to their website where they offered delivery for a $6 fee, which I was happy to pay because I thought it was going directly back to the restaurant. But nope. They use a third party vendor to make their deliveries, Postmates in this case, and there was a 30 minute delay from when the order was ready to when it was picked up and subsequently delivered. For reference, I live just down the street about 2 mins from the restaurant. Needless to say the food was soggy and/or cold and/or overcooked.

I ordered 6 entrees and 3 appetizers and the total cost was about $130 with $10 tip and delivery. As mentioned above when I contacted them about the issues with this order, they only provided a myriad of excuses of why it wasn't their fault and that I should contact Postmates. They also stated that they do not provide refunds for any reason but did offer to remake the foil wrapped chicken.

A side note on the crab rangoons - they were made with only cream cheese and nothing else. When I told the restaurant about it they said they no longer use crab in their rangoons because some people are allergic.

We brought some lady friends with us for their first time to Wa Me's. One of the lady's mentioned ordering orange chicken....I heard her and suggested something else because they usually take old or small bits of chicken and coat it with flour and fry it , then coat with orange sauce. She decided to take the risk. She ended up with leaving a full plate of fried flour bits and very little chicken. It also tasted strange. I ordered my usual garlic chicken and was disappointed. Large pieces of zuccinni that were soggy and tasted like fish, were added to the dish and it seemed to not have the same fresh tasting celery and water chestnuts that was the usual crunchy part of the dish. I mentioned the issue with the orange chicken to the waitress, and she said she would let the cook know our complaint of very little chicken meats in the main orange chicken dish. I told her, the cook already knows the problem. That's how they use up the scraps. I noticed the other lady guest never ate much of her plate either. Decided to take it home, like she was full. Being polite, she probably chucked it in the garbage later. We were the only people in the restaurant....I...

This really deserves even less than zero star's. We have eaten here before and it was pretty good. But this time it was different because our ocean seafood dish only had 4 prawns two scallops and chopped up squid with Vegetables for a dish that cost over $11. We called them as we did not see the scallops nor squid. They told us to come down in 15 minutes and they would give us another one. So we gave them 30 mintes. We get there and the owner takes a plastic fork out scraps through our dish to point out how much fish is in it. She gets loud and in front of other customers to have our food exposed in front of other customers waiting for their orders at the cash register and tells us it will be 15 minutes for our order even though earlier when we called them told us the same. So they did not have the replacement order for us. We asked for a refund and she told us they do not give refunds.very poor customer service and very disappointed overall. Do not go here as they skimp on their food...not worth...
