Mom and I stopped here Saturday afternoon after getting our toes done at Bradie's. Taj Grill is brand new to the area, but they know what they are doing! The food and service were fantastic. I wasn't really hungry, so I just ordered the samosa chat (deconstructed samosa with chick peas and tamarind sauce drizzled over the top). When it came I realized that I should have ordered naan so I had something to scoop everything up with. My mom had the samosas, bhindi masala (okra with onions and bell peppers), and plain paranthas (like a wheat naan/tortilla love child). I tried the bhindi masala and can attest to the deliciousness. In addition to the food being great, the service was also excellent. They hit that special blend of letting us linger and talk, but still came by making sure we had water and that the food was right. We had a couple fun interactions and everyone was very personable. Everything is freshly painted, with new flooring. They mentioned that there was still some decorating to do, as this is still the soft opening. You should definitely try them out. We will definitely be going back! I can't wait to see what the place looks like for the...
Read moreI just want to say AMAZING food and service. Gary was the gentleman that served me and my sons today. He was very friendly and always making sure that we are satisfied and didn’t need anything. Now for the food beautiful presentation, we had the Goat Vindaloo, Lamb tiki masala, and taj special lamb curry. Now i have tried lamb a few times in my life but don’t enjoy actually hate the game taste. Well the first bite i had from the Lamb Tiki Masala has changed my mind. The tenderness just melted in my mouth and the flavor sweet and spicy blended well in a savory way. The lamb curry had a very bold flavor and also the lamb just melted in my mouth. Now i had the goat never eaten before i was worried lol but again the meat slid right of the bone with a moist delicious flavor. To top it off they brought us Gulab Jamun beautifully sweet with a little crunch from the coconut shavings. I will...
Read moreBest Indian Food restaurant in Sacramento county. I have tried most of them. I have been here three times. Their food is consistently good. The food would be best compared to Bombay Bar and Grill in Midtown. Their food has the hardiness you expect from an Indian restaurant but with notes of delicate spices added in. I recommend the chilli chicken, tikka masala and garlic naan. Go mild on the first visit. For dessert the gulab jamun. They are like warm pancake balls in honey sauce. The restaurant is super clean and comfortable. Nice and air conditioned in the summer. Not sure why there are any bad reviews. The place is fairly new. Maybe they had some starting up issues when they first opened? The service was as good as you could ever expect. My water was always filled and I didn’t have to wait...
