Lots of missed potential. Bagels were just ok. Toppings were very minimal. I ordered an everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, onion, and capers. See the picture… The bagel was almost burnt, there were a couple tiny pieces of onion and literally 6 capers… my wife had a wheat bagel and “Strawberry” cream cheese which had little to no strawberry in it. What left me most surprised was that everyone behind the counter seemed to hate being there. No “good morning”, no smiles, nothing. I don’t need someone to be overly excited toward every person who comes in, but some hospitality would be nice. Feeling welcomed and connecting with customers is one of the big selling points of shopping local. At least the people at dunkin are nice.

Find them at the Phoenixville Farmers Market under the Gay St. bridge. This bakery specializes in sourdough products, and most of what we've sampled has been outstanding. The highlight is their decadent Almond Croissant. My goodness! This may be the BEST Almond Croissant I've ever had. It's big. I joked with a neighbor that it weighs 2lbs. It probably weighs less, but it's massive. It is also properly filled with a perfectly sweet creamy almond marzipan cream. The cream is also on top and holds the generous topping of shivered almonds. The pastry is flaky, crispy, and deliciously buttery. This is a game changer version of a classic pastry confection.

The best bagels and bread around! They source locally and are open Wednesday-Sunday but try to get there early in case they sell out of what you’d like. Picture is from one of my first visits there, 6 sesame and 6 everything bagels. They offer bagels with spreads but not a breakfast sandwich. Check their social media for menus. Hard to go back to grocery store bagels off the shelf after you’ve tried theirs!

Went in and it is just a small shop with A LOT of offerings. Several racks of different bagels to the left of the counter. Then in front of you is racks of gorgeous croissants, Almond, Chocolate and plain. Baguettes are bagged off to the right ready to go. The most delicious looking little focaccias, one a tomato pie and one an olive mix. I went just for a couple croissants and walked out with an entire bag of products. Croissants are spectacular and highly recommended. Pretty much everything is really great. There is a full service coffee bar inside as well offering various drinks. This is a small business with a strong family feel. Mom was watering the plants, the teenage daughter was working the counter and the little girl was prepping the coffee bar, so adorable. This is now my new pastry shop. They don’t have typical baked goods, I mean its a bread shop, but their offerings are superior to ANYONE ELSE in the area. I did notice a few large crusty loaves of different breads around that I will try on a later date. This place is great and I would highly recommend everyone try it. I actually feel lucky that this is so local. I would imagine this in a city charging twice as much or in a coastal village in Sicily where everyone buys their goods for the day....

I recently went out of my way to pick up my mother's favorite bagel from Brandywine Valley Bread, a place known for its quality baked goods. However, my most recent experience left me a bit disappointed. When I called to inquire about availability of a specific bagel, I was surprised by the lack of friendliness and enthusiasm from the person who answered the phone and when I arrived to place my order, I noticed that the packaging was messy on the outside with cream cheese. I politely asked if they could transfer it to a new box, and while they did so, the second box was still a bit messy. This small issue was a little frustrating, especially considering the effort I made to get there.

That being said, the bagel was just as delicious as ever, which is why I’ll try again. I hope that next time the customer service and packaging can match the high standard of their food. I’m optimistic that my next visit will be a more...

We were really looking forward to trying this place, as we love supporting local businesses and had high hopes after moving to the area. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.

We had high expectations for both the bagels and the morning bun, but they fell short. We usually get our bagels from Spread Bagelry and were hoping these would be comparable, especially given the similar price point. Sadly, they weren’t—the bagels tasted more like something you’d find at a supermarket rather than a specialty shop. The morning bun was very dry and lacked flavor. The veggie cream cheese was good, but at $7, it felt overpriced.

That being said, the staff was very friendly, which we really appreciated. We truly wanted to love this place, but given the quality and price, it just didn’t meet our...
