Horrible service DONT spend money !!!

SO I JUST CALLED Chela’s Tacos on 51st and Broadway because y’all referred me To them and they just told me I can’t place orders over the phone because they think im someone else who called private and didn’t pick up their food just because I placed a similar order which was not the same mind you my first time ever calling them they are supposed to be cash only but no they want my credit card number I haven’t even tried these folks I’m done … I’m heated I’ll drive a couple blocks up to Taco Depot - Home of the Mini Burrito !!

We found this place on our way to Raleigh, NC from Chicago. Stopped here after reading reviews online. TRUST THE REVIEWS that say this place is good...IT IS GOOD! We just moved to the Chicago area from South Texas, so we know good Mexican food and this place does not disappoint! If you are anywhere near Gary Indiana, you have to stop in to Chela's. It's not fancy at all, but is very clean and the prices are good. We had the Birria Tacos, chips and salsa and several different meat tacos. Then, on our way back from North Carolina, we stopped in again! My fiance thinks this is the best Mexican food outside of Texas. THAT'S saying something! We can't...

All I ordered was 5 Burria tacos. Nothing special. Nothing else. I called at 6:30 to place my order, no one answered. I drove and walked in at 7 on the dot. Placed my order and was told 15 min. I didn't walk out of that Place until 7:45. Totally unacceptable, and there was no excuse for it. If you were overwhelmed you should've said so and I could've taken my money and appetite elsewhere. My time, appetite, and patience was all lost in my first and last visit here. 45 min for 5 tacos w nothing but meat and cheese, I'll never ever patronize this...
