MANNING'S ISLAND BAR & GRILL — Restaurant in Calumet Township

Unfortunately, my experience was not that favorable. My friends and I attended a day party on a Saturday in May 2024 and the bartender was horrible. She gives this Black owned Business a bad name. Her name is Barbara. She seemed angry that she had to serve the patrons of this establishment. She needs to be in the kitchen frying chicken where no one can experience her deplorable behavior. She made my experience bad and hopefully if I come back to support the group that gives the day party on the first Saturday of every month, she will not be working. Her bad attitude caused me and my group of friends to leave Mannings. We decided to go downtown where we knew we would receive outstanding customer service! First time here, meeting up with a birthday cousin. GPS was ridiculous bcuz it kept sending us off! 🙄 We arrived about 9:30-10pm and it wasn't too crowded. We sat by the kitchen and lottery machines. Very unprofessional! The owner didn’t allow one of my friends to come inside because of her clothes but she let other women inside that’s wearing the same thing or similar clothing. She was looking at females body that entered the bar. She didn’t want her husband to see. She didn’t want no woman with a nice shape to enter basically. She was extremely rude and loud.
